I was wondering if anyone knew of stamp and/or craft stores in Marseilles, France? My husband will be there for a week for work, and he wanted to look for me.

Oh, thank you! I couldn't even find anything for anywhere in France. DH wanted to surprise me, but told me earlier today that he couldn't find anything.

Marseilles, I really don't know. I always go to BHV in Paris, near the Hotel de Ville. But I'll be back when I get home from work at lunch time, because I know someone who was in the south of France last year and I'll see can I find anything out for you. Good for your DH.
Hello !
I'm living in France, and can confirm there's no scrapbook shop in Marseille.
Unfortunately we don't have a lot of brick and mortar shops, but a lot of webstores.
And regarding to the prices, there's no interest for US scrapbookers ! Our prices are highest, due to taxes and shipping costs....I know the problem very well, because I'm the owner of a scrapbook webshop....
Hope my answer help you, but not sure !!!
Sorry for my english Ladies :-)
Someone on holidays in France at the moment went to a scrap-booking demo at the FNAC (books, music, stationery. cameras etc) in Cannes. If they had a demo, presumably it's because they stock related stuff. I couldn't find one in the French Golden Pages but on checking out their own website they list 3 stores in Marseille, so maybe your DH's colleagues there could tell him if there is a nearby one. Loisirs is the department to look for. I also know, because I used to work for a company that sold French hobby supplies (paints, pencils, paper etc) that their big hardware superstores often have good hobby/craft sections. While we sold their stuff into a lot of bookstores over here, hardware/DIY was their main outlet over there.
Hope that is some help, sorry it's not more specific. I've checked out a couple of the scrapbooking links I know of, but as the previous poster said, there's not a lot of bricks and mortar.
And if there is any big department store, it could be worth his while asking if it has a Loisirs section, because definitely some of the ones in Paris do. As I said, I love BHV and always pay a visit there.
Looks like Alexandra has answered your question. Just thought I would add a hint for anyone other world travelers. You can find stampers and scrappers here on Splitcoast by searching the Members List.
*Click the link to Members List at the top of the threads.
*Click Search Members
*Click on Advanced Search
Those three clicks bring you to a page from which you can search for any of the items in the members' profiles: location; interests; biography; et cetera. So if you want to ask someone in another country about stamping supplies, just type that country into the corresponding search box.

Your English is better than a lot of native speakers I know - no reason to apologize! Great information, by the way.
And regarding previous posts about BHV, that's true they have a great crafts department, but it's genarally very expensive.
Nevertheless BHV Paris is really a great and famous store with a lot of awesome things for fashion victims, home decor, ....
If you go to Paris don't miss BHV, Gallerie Lafayette ...
