After seeing a few things - the Bella Rose apron, Shelli's Shirt she's wearing in her picture on her blog, and something else too I can't remember, it gets me thinking that maybe SU is coming out with fabrics that coordinate with their stamps. Just thinking.... I would personally flip (in a good way) if that's what it is. Anyone else wanna guess???
Fabric was my guess too. It fits with the home decor theme, and I would think there is a market for it among stampers. Maybe you could coordinate your pillows with your wall decor?
I saw a picture of Brent Steele from convention, and it looked like the shirt he was wearing was made from the same material as the Bella Rose apron. I couldn't swear to this, because of the quality of the picture, but it sure looked like it.
I was thinking fabric too, but are they going to teach us how to sew too? The last time I sewed anything was in high school and I'm not tellin how long ago that was!
My guess would be a small line of clothing...things that can be either bought for yourself or as a gift...
Take the apron for example...I haven't seen a picture yet...but I am actually in the market for an apron - I just started sewing and was thinking of attempting to make myself an apron with fabric I love...but for under $25 i would gladly purchase one with fabric I think is beautiful...
While I realize it would "take away" from stamping...I do applaud SU for attempting to open up a few other lines of products that has a more mass appeal to a general audience that may come to workshops -

Maybe it's a line of soft goods--curtains, dish towels, pot holders, aprons etc. for the kitchen; pillows and wall hangings for the living room/bedroom; runners, table cloths etc for the dining room; DSP-pattern bags, totes and overnight bags for travelling. . . .
Seems like it would be challenging to pick fabric by the yard, unless they offered pre-measured amounts.
I don't know if my bank account could handle it if fabric was the new thing! I just started cleaning out my fabric closet for a garage sale. I need the money for the new catalog!! I would love a line of clothing, though.
Basic Grey is coming out with a line of fabric (which I will be all over if I can find it). I quilt and absolutely ADORE Basic Grey papers. My mind is reeling with the design possibilities of using their fabric. Since I really don't care for SU's papers, a fabric line from them would do nothing for me, same with any clothes, etc. made from those designs. But for those that think SU papers are the best, then they would be all over that the way I'll be all over Basic Grey's line. But with specialty fabrics from Basic Grey (if carried by JoAnn's or another chain line that the way they do Waverly fabrics) I can use a coupon to purchase to make them affordable or purchase during their regular sales. Couldn't do that with SU which would probably price them out of the range the average purchaser would want to spend.
hmmmm - not so sure I'd be thrilled with a fabric line (even though I am a quilter) or clothes line. I don't think that would be it - they already added a product that sorta deviated from stamping - I would think they will add a new product line that goes with stamping - I think it is going to be some sort of die-cut product. Even though they added new brass templates, i still think something along this line is coming.
I like the idea of fabric if it's in a 12x12 size that is adhesive backed - something to use in making cards and pages. Not really sure that yardage would thrill me.
But I can't wait to hear what it is today!!!!
I think its got to be a Big Shot or some other kind of die cut machine. The display said "that thing Shelli demonstrated" which, I think, is their way of creating excitement over a new thing w/out telling yet what is is. Fabric doesn't have to be demonstrated. Also, the magazine that said Stampin' Up Big Shot is a clue, maybe. That could have been a mistake, but its a pretty big mistake to go to publication with something that doesn't exist.
I'm thinking scrapbooking items like totes, etc. Look at what they had at Convention. Plus it said items we have that Shelli loves.
I'm thinking it's more like Martha Stewart-lots of crafting items...

Looks like you were absolutely right in your guessing! LOL

Or maybe a full line of wrapping paper and ribbons, similar to what was offered in the Christmas mini?
hmmmm maybe because didn't I see wrapping paper and such in one of the Idea rooms??? hmmm very interesting indeed.. Instead of selling that ugly one for the holidays that the kids schools send us to sell in the candy catalogs we can sell ours!! HA!!!
It is my understanding from reading a lot of the "buzz" from convention is that Shelli's line will be a range of items from stamping & home decor & other genres that she likes or has had a hand in designing.

BINGO! Did you have an inside scoop or was that just a lucky prediction? I was way off as I was thinking more decor type items, like storage type stuff.

No, no inside scoop, just reading clues. It didn't make sense to me a magazine would "accidentally" publish a ballot with Stampin' Up Big Shot on it!

The Big Shot announcement and Shelli's own line are two totally separate things....I think they (the convention goers) are finding out more about Shelli's line tomorrow!

Well, good on you! I don't know anything about a ballot so I am still very impressed that you were right on the $! Also, excited for this product that I am not super familiar with. Yippee!

If it is fabric, I would finally be able to get my Mom interested in SU! She's an avid sewer/quilter. She collects fabric like I collect paper.
I was thinking the very same thing about my SIL's, there are 7 of them (my poor husband being the youngest of the family  could you imagine growing up with 7 big sisters!) The ones that don't scrapbook do quilting, and just likeyour mother, they collect fabric like we do paper!
Between the aprin, Shellies Jacket on her blog and the picture of fabric flowers cut with the sizzix, it very well could be. :p
It is so exciting, when is she going to reveal it? I thought it was going to be today, but it did not happen...unless she swore everyone to secrecy. Now that I think of it, there was very little if any chatter from conferance goers this afternoon.

Oops, just realized you were talking about the new product partnership, not Shellies new line.
Shelli's line will include a lot of different things. She indicated that the day she announced it. Several of the dies for the Big Shot are "Shelli line" and I agree I think fabric is going to be part of the line. Maybe a whole series of purses (lined with the fabric)?? We should know more tomorrow. This has been the most mind boggling convention. My head is just swimming from all the new stuff and the very high energy! Not to mention THE BEST catalog in recent years!

Oh, My, Goodnessssss!! Let it be purses! My mom doesn't really craft, but if there were purses in Shelli's line, she would probably buy them all. I think she buys a new purse twice a week. No kidding!

Nothing wrong with this. I keep my fabric collection right next to my paper collection!!!

I am also thinking she'll have a fabric line that coordinates with our stamps and DSP. The apron she wore that she made from fabric she die cut with the Big Shot could be a clue!!!
