Update: tree is up and I think he waits under it for me to fill the water so he can have a drink!
I only have the handmade stitchery ornaments on it, it looks nice and I'm too lazy to drag out all the others. His eyes get very big when I mess about the tree anyway.
By the way that wall heater came with the house in 1978 and we don’t use it anymore. Got a geothermal system in 2002.

Funny story: tonight I tripped and knocked over the small Christmas tree. Me. The cats have only stared at it this year. Zero naughtiness. Bet they were thinking "And she yells at us when we do that…"

I didn't even bother with a tree this year. My feral kittens are only 9 months old. It's taken everything the dog and I had just to get them to this age. Can't imagine the huge tease a Christmas tree would be. I live in the Redwood forests - I don't want them to think I will come and save them if they climb a tree. I don't have a 100-200 foot ladder.

Being in the forests, these cats are intended to hunt critters that move into the house and garage (if there are no predators). The male kitten was so wild and the female was so scared of her own shadow. I thought for sure the male would be my Predator and the female the 'house kitty'. But he grew up to act like Liberace, and the female turned out to be the great hunter. Funny how they turned out so differently (but he is my fav).

Keep posting the pictures. Love to see the soft and pretty cats you have.

I hope you keep the colored inks away from fluff! They would color that beautiful white fur for sure!

With all the long haired, fluffy kitties you have - how do you not have that fine cat hair every where? I bet you folks have this issue licked. What is your secret?

Ever have cat hair in your cards?

The only problem I have with cat hair is when I used scor tape or other tapes. Always find a black hair u need the tape and have to pull it off.

This was from last year, our previous 2 kitties did the same thing. We figure he always assumes it's "his" tree because he likes to lay under the outside trees and we don't!

My cat, well not really mine 'cause she only puts up with me, is sitting on DH lap and giving me "cat eyes" for getting to close. I love walking by and tugging on her paw

Be careful. They will get that look like on their face like they are counting the eggnogs... Cat shame. They are so good at that.

When I find cat hairs on ink pads, I use a piece of painter's tape to take them off.

He likes to jump on my Stampin Up ink pads when they're opened. So, yes, I have wound up with birdie foot prints on projects, especially wrapping paper because I have the pad open for a while.

I also have to keep him from licking the pads. Yuck!

I guess my stamp 'n scrub is my cat. I keep finding the "hairs" on my ink pads and stamps.

While tidying up to put up my tree with my daughter she said "Mum, if you got rid of the cat tree you would have more room for your craft stuff". So true to form, every time it's threatened to get rid of it, over the next three days, it was occupied by a different cat!

It's like they hear you. If I say I haven't seen Digit go up the screen in awhile, she'll be climbing it before the day is out!

For once, mine are just chillin'. Makes me very suspicious. They're normally stealing my ribbon, sprawling over my cardstock and pieces of cards I have laid out to assemble, walking all over my keyboard when I'm trying to work, pulling rubbish out of my wastebasket, you know - all the typical stuff cats do.

My feral kitty is a total wimp now, too! He goes outside with his sister kitty and she gets all excited about birds and he looks at her like she is crazy and I am sure he says "get your food from a bowl, it is easier that way!"

I'm suppose to be packing for vacation but for some reason I cannot get up! Since she has to spend vacation boarding at the cat "spa" (vet's...she needs meds every day so cannot be left at home for the neighbors to feed) I think I will enjoy this because she usually isn't a lap cat. Zekey is 22+ years old.

Both of mine are sleeping next to me and on me. Sarge is always laying by my feet and Hoboski is lap cat.

At times I find little surprise's when I decide to walk barefoot... Ewwwww...Gross!!!

Sarge, when he's hungry he will find something of mine and shred it! Until I get up to feed him. (He's 15 )

MY SU order came today. Kitty was NOT happy because box was not big enough. Luckily his old SU box is still in good shape.

Funny how older cats act like some older ladies - always trying to squeeze into things that are 2 sizes too small for the 'robust booty' that follows them.

Amazing how they can melt as much of themselves as will fit in a tiny box, the rest flops over the top and sides, and they purr and fall asleep. A good skill to develop.

I don't think cat shaming really works. I never see shame on their faces like dogs - I think they are not cable of shame. The look is more like "I did it. So what. Get over it."

Does your cat ever show shame?

Maybe just order bigger items, but I already have the ink pad holder and the trimmer and the big shot. I'll just have to combine orders with friends and call dibs on the box!
