Many times there will be links in their video tutorials to their blog and they will have instructions there that you can print out. I dont like printing them out because it costs money for paper and ink, so videos are better for me.

Did you see the Hero Arts "oh hello turnabout" stamp? Jennifer McGuire showcased it in this video. You can start at the 3:15 time on the tutorial if you want to skip the long video. I just kept wondering how on earth it could possibly work when she didn't have her white card stock in the corner, but it does!

And if there isn't a link often you can find the blog by googling their name and the name of the project, or just their name and "blog."

I'm a video addict too, and generally prefer watching on the blog rather than youtube since the list of items used in the project is often easier to see - photos and links. Even if I'm not buying anything, it's nice to stop the video for a moment, glance down to see a product I'm not familiar with, or maybe click on the link to read more about it.

Kathy, i have the triangle turn-about stamps from Concord & 9th and it is interesting how they work. The jig I made is quite inky and may not last a long time. i may re-make one and laminate it so ink can be wiped off and it will last longer.

You made me go back and look and that oh hello turn about was concord and 9th, not hero arts. The first set she used was hero arts. Thanks Beth!

I didn't even notice you said that! lol BTW, I have the first set - the sentiments that Hero Arts made. It's lovely. I thought I might makes some cards for some adult students who are taking citizen prep classes. (I used to volunteer teach with the org.)

I tried Jennifer McGuire's Tulle Shaker Card tutorial. It was pretty easy, though I think I messed up a little on the die cutting on my card. Still came out OK; just the layers didn't line up exactly. Great tutorial, at any rate!

embossing tin foil? who knew?!

(I think I'd stabilize it by gluing it to CS first ... dunno. Gonna have to go play around with this one. )

Dina knew! LOL

Faux Tin Tiles Tutorial - Splitcoaststampers

She does glue it down.

Melissa knew too!
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/re...tarnishedfoil/

I knew because of Dina and Melissa! Fun technique and nothing to buy since I already had aluminum foil. I've only used embossing powder on it once, but I've also used the acrylic paint like in Melissa's video. I would definitely glue it to card stock before dry embossing if I plan to wet emboss because with my luck it would change shapes and be unrecognizable in the process.

Here's Melissa's from you tube. I can't put the direct link from SCS. I'll try to find Dina's too.

Too fun! I'd known about the cool things you can do with foil and alcohol inks, but the embossing powder?... my, oh my! lol!

Dina and Melissa's foil embossing techniques are awesome! I can't wait to try them. I'm wondering if cardstock with Deco foil would work with Melissa's technique. I don't think Dina's will work with the Deco foil using the sanding method, but maybe with using alcohol or mineral spirits???

I was on Pinterest and happened upon a link with great pictures of brush stroke techniques. I remember using them for toll painting years ago. I know they work well with acrylic paints, and have used some with watercolors. I'm always looking for painting techniques to help me, an artist want a be

This looks like so much fun (and sentiments are just the start of it, right? I have a coupla bird dies that I think this effect would look really nice with)

(and what a dork ... I didn't realize SCS has a YouTube page. A whole lot of great tutorials there.)

I know ... and you even said 'Melissa's from YouTube' earlier (post 51) ... and it went right over my head. lol! (one of those, 'better tease your hair some more so not so much goes whizzing by' moments, what can I say?)

The squirrel card is adorable! I need bigger word dies. Most of mine are small.

I'm hoping it'll work with single line/word sentiments. Gonna try, anyway. I'm also thinking it may work with stylized object dies, like the coupla birdies I have (one is an outline image with some detail work in it's body, one is a solid image with the wing that gets cut out (and looks like a heart) that can then be inset, offset, or used separately. Hoping Theresa's technique will work with what I already have.

rain has finally cleared out here, so into the garden for this girl. What inspiration fairy tickled you and what did you come up with, Ms Kathy?

I watch everything Sam (pootles) does! Glad I'm not the only one who gets hooked! I made four note covers so far. I'll post them in my gallery. I need one more decoration on them but too tired right now.
