Never thought I would do this, but here I am...lol..
I would like to encourage you all to consider purchasing the SU kit in which money is donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. I know this might be a sacrifice for a lot of you in these tough economic times. I have been guitly myself of "skipping by" those sets, until an angel with Hypoplastic Left heart Syndrome came into our family. This year, I will find the money to purchase at least one of the set, maybe more to give away.
Hopefully, you will never have to experience a stay there as your children and grandchildren will stay healthy. But what a Godsend it is to those in need.
Thank you for your consideration and if not able to purchase this set, please say a prayer for those kiddies in need...Thank You...judy

I agree that the Ronald McDonald House Charities are wonderful. Luckily I have never had the need, nor have I personally known anyone who does, but I have read the greatful stories of the families that have stayed at the RMH (we have one here in Cincinnati) and the stories just tug at your heart.
I think this set is going to be popular. That peacock is lovely. The turtle is darling. The one with the little medalion thingies is classy. I don't have anything to say about the stick kid.
Actually I think I'll use the stick kid for my kids to make thank you cards with.
I'm also a supporter of Ronald McDonald House.

I am very glad that SU! partnered with RMHC. I never would have volunteered there otherwise and would have missed out on being a part of a super organization. Thanks to everyone for their support.

I stongly feel that if you want to surport a charity, etc.donate directly to that charity. They need all the money, not a %.
I am an old girl scout. We asked parents to donate to the United Way so our Girl Scout/Boy Scout Councils would get much needed money. We found out that the United Way boarders were different from council boarders and all the money that our familys donated went to another girls scout or boy scout council. I no longer donate to the United Way becasue of this and other problems. with them.
Donate to the charity so they get all the money and not a %.

I am one of those grateful people who would buy it even if it was the ugliest thing I ever saw. I like the idea of the % because I think some folks who wouldn't otherwise make a donation for one reason or another, are happy to contribute to get something in return.
I bought last year's set with the intention of having a class, which I never did. But I'm buying this years and I'm having that class this time. We have a friend in the family who used the RMH when her child was battling a brain tumor. She eventually lost that battle, but RMH gave the family such comfort and help when they needed it. Its a huge thing for people going through those traumas and I'd like to support it as much as I can. Planning on making cards and donating some to them as well, through the class.
When we travel we always stop at McDonald's for bathroom breaks and coffee. Our change/dollars goes in the RMH bins by each register. I can't imagine having a child that's fighting for it's life! Way to go RMH for supporting the family.
Judy, thanks for the reminder to all of us to purchase and showcase this set. It will be on my next order now that you have reminded me. Our local group typically donates cards as well as some proceeds from one our our stamping workshops to RMH. People who bring 5 cards to donate get a raffle ticket. Those cards are provided to the families so that they can acknowledge family birthdays during their stay or write thank you's, etc. They are a wonderful organization. Kathy
this is a wonderful organization during a rough time, i know this first hand, and i will always support them and the rady childrens hospital, this stamp set is my favorite one of all of them, and i will enjoy telling people about the ronald mcdonald house when i use it.
This set is GREAT. I'll be buying it! The company I sell for (not SU, not stamps at all) recently started a campaign with a charity ($1 for every box sold). In less than three months, we've raised more than $100,000 for the charity! So awesome and so easy.
I love this set and I ordered it yesterday!!! Watch the Gallery for samples using "Very Thankful". Everyone needs thank you cards, and this little set, very reasonably priced, has 4 different "styles" in one set!! I absolutely LOVE it and will be promoting this to my customers! I was very moved last year when Shelli gave a check to Ronald McDonald. What a great cause.
