Default Self inking stamp ink

Hello- I am new to the forum so forgive me if this question is obvious. I would like to know how well the ink Versafine black onyx will work in a self inking stamp?

Also, what if I use Stazon ink? I'm wondering if the stamps will dry out too quickly. Thanks!

I'm guessing that because the inkpad is exposed to the air all the time when not in use, the ink will keep drying out. I would think the ink for self inking stamps is a special formulation. The Versafine should not be a problem in use, nor the Staz-on, it'll just be storage that will cause you problems.
