Scrapbooking Retreat in Chicagoland area?

My favorite scrapbook store -- the Scrap Shack -- closed in St. Charles, Illinois.

Some friends have been talking about trying a weekend retreat, but aren't aware of any options in our area. Any ideas?

If so I know of a couple of places.

One is in Aledo IL. The Slammer. It's a great place for a weekend. Wonderful room to scrap in and sleeping rooms are great too!!!



The Paper Doll House
I hear is a good place. I've never been there.

The Scrap Shack was my favorite lss also. I was so sad to see it go. The Paper Doll House is in my area - DeKalb, Sycamore. I have never been to it. I can't justify staying at a place that is 10 - 15 minutes from my house. My friends and I go to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in St. Louis. We get hotel rooms and have a blast.
