To update the list in the other post a bit, Ever After Scrapbooks in Vista closed June 21st, a sad day since I have been a customer since they opened in 1999. The other ones are still open, for now.

Oh dear! I didn't realize that Ever After Scrapbooks had closed. They had just moved to that location not that long ago. I do realize that we are still lucky to have so many stores within the county, but we have lost quite a few in the past 2 - 3 years. I have backed off & will not go to Paper Tales again since the big fuss over the store & a stamp designer both publicly chastising on a customer on Facebook & another message board. The customer had bought some limited edition stamps & then listed them to re-sell which the store owner found objectionable. I prefer my stamp buying to be drama free.
just curious but, for anyone who lives in San Diego or around there are any of these stores close to the MCRD? (Marine Corp Recruit Depot I think its street address is on Midway ave)
Paper Tales is very close to MCRD - not easy walking because of the traffic, but within a mile to a mile & a half. The Midway area isn't one I would feel comfortable walking around in after dark. If you have any questions about San Diego - you are welcome to pm me. I've lived here over 50 years & love this place so much!

Paper tales is my fav store!! Love it. The Making Place is a close second. Love them too.
okay if we were to drive down there in a full size truck (1 ton crew cab) is there an actual parking lot at paper tales? or just street parking for say compact cars?

There's plenty of parking at Paper Tales. It's in a strip mall with many other stores.
