Last night I packed up all of my stamp/scrapping supplies. We are trying to sell our house, so we are de-cluttering. 8 boxes, 2 rubbermaids, and 8 plastic shoeboxes later everything is packed up. :( I am hoping that our house sells fast so I can unpack everything soon!
I bet you are sad...you didn't leave just a few thing out? You can come to my house anytime to scrap'nstamp. btw-My cousin lives just outside of Fargo. She is/was/is an artist and college art professor.
Oh, that is sad! Maybe you need to keep these accessable to you, so you can pull them out when you need a little stamping therapy. Hope your house sells quick, too!
Oh, you poor thing. I feel your pain. I remember how it was when I couldn't stamp due to illness, it was just horrible. Perhaps you should have kept a bag handy with a few stamps, some ink, already cut up paper, adhesive, a few embellies, and some ribbon, at least that would tide you over until you could get at all of your stuff and stamp full steam. Anyway, a good thing to remember if this ever happens again. LoL.
I would say "have a happy stamping day!", but you have no stamps, well have a happy day anyway. Go out in the sunshine and read a book or something. Do something nice for yourself that you have always wanted to do.
When we moved last year I keep a small box aside that had some stamps and all the other necessary supplies so that I could make some "we have moved" cards. When I would get tired of packing I would work on the cards this way when we got to our new place the cards were already made up and ready to be filled in and mailed out. It is hard putting all your supplies into boxes, but with luck they shouldn't be in boxes for to long.
Oh no, Laura!! That really stinks. Maybe you can pull some basic supplies out and be able to store them so they won't "clutter" the house. (although is stamping supplies really clutter? ok...maybe to other people it is. :rolleyes
Aww, I know how you feel, Laura...we unexpectedly have had to put our house up for sale right after I re-painted my stamp room...luckily the realtor is marketing the room as a "hobby room" so my stuff is ok there at the moment. Good luck to you and your family, I hope your house sells soon so you can go back to stamping!
Oh, if its not too late grab shoebox full of basic supplies that you can make multiple types of cards with. I lived with just a carryon bag of supplies for 14 months because of an international move so I feel your pain. I hope your move is much shorter than mine was!
Oh no, I feel your pain too! I need to get my card fix almost everyday. Don't you have a good friend nearby that would let you keep your stuff at her house? Any one with a craft room or basement? I would do it for you for sure if I could! If you can't do that, the idea about keeping some basics in a carry-on or small suitcase is a great idea! Hope your house sells soon so you can make a big crafty mess again!
Oh, I feel for you. Hope the house sells soon. Every summer I go to MI for 2 months and I bring a small box of stuff with me, but of course I never have everything I need. I do a little stamping to get me through, but it just is not the same. I wish I could bring it all with me.

I also had to pack all of my stuff up to move from overseas to the US. I am feeling your pain. I have a lot less motivation when I can not do my crafty things.
Seriously, I agree with the others' suggestions--leave out a few items to play with, find a friend's house to stamp at, or even head down to your LSS and use their stuff for a while...just to get a quick fix!
I feel your pain .. Though my stuff isnot packed up ... I had an operation on June 4 and have been bed ridden ever since .. my things are in my craft room in the basement and I cannot make it down the 2 flights of stairs .. I miss making my cards so I lurk on my laptop on SCS >>> LOL
I hope your house sells soon !!!
I absolutely feel your pain. We just sold our house and ALL of my stamping supplies are in storage. I planned to keep some basic supplies out but my husband and son took everything to the storage unit. I spotted my "craft supplies" boxes way in the back. I will have to somehow rearrange so I can get my hands on ink and stamps.
Awww...I know the feeling!! We moved in April, but started packing at the beginning of March to make it easier. My scrapping stuff was the first to get packed...and it was the LAST to be unpacked just a few weeks ago.
I so missed it....but it was really fun unpacking all my *treasures*! So...you do have something FUN to look forward to!

I have thought about this a lot in the past couple of months as I have worked hard at organizing my stamp room. I would love to move in the next year or so, and the thought of having to pack it all up while trying to sell is just scary! It was bad enough to be without it for a couple of weeks while the floors were re-done. The conclusion I came to this weekend was that we were just going to have to be able to afford having the new house to move into before we sell the condo so I won't have to live without my stamping stuff (well, a girl can dream, right!)
Good luck! I hope your house sells soon so you won't have to go through stamping withdrawal!
We are in the process of moving. It will take us a couple of weekends to get it all done (We are only moving 3 hours away). I have packed up alot of my stuff but not quite all of it. We aren't going to be able to unpack it real soon though because we have to create the room my stuff is going to be in. There is a very large shed (30 x 10') that we are going to put insulation and drywall up in so that I can have a "proper" studio. First we have to make sure the roof isn't going to leak though....There is ivy growing through it.....if we have to fix the roof then it will take even longer to get the space workable. I will have to keep some of my supplies accessible because if I can't create and de-stress then my family will be quite the unhappy campers. ;)
