WOOT! WOOT! My pleasure, Beverly! Enjoy!

Money is great to receive and especially when it can be used for things you want!

Thank you so much, Joan, for your generous PIF gifts!

AND, for the first time in my life, I was happy that my birthday is in December. I received some cash...always appreciated as a gift...and then I did some detective work. Found one of our own PIF posters was a demo and ordered Stampin Up items that I had been wanting SO badly, but could not afford to purchase myself. They came today...

Hello, Doily stamp
Medallion stamp
Top Note Bigz die
Butterfly punch

Happy Birthday, to me....LOL!

Between the two packages....I am dizzy with joy. No kidding, I'm having problems with dizziness lately and whenever I got overly excited I get faint and have to lie down or I'll pass out...too weird, huh?!

That being said, Thank you, Joan, for the metallic pencils and rub ons. I had only thought there would be maybe 3 or 4 of the pencils and imagine my surprise when I found it was a set of 12--and they're beautiful!
I apologize I didn't send the case the pencils came in but I wanted to get things out and was running really short on envelopes. I still have it and if you want it I can send it your way when more envelopes arrive. Just let me know.

Joan, LOL...thanks for the birthday card. Love it. Had to call hubby to the computer to see it in action!

AND, if you haven't checked out Joan's blog, please click on "Sassy Moments" at the bottom of her signature. She's too humble to toot her own horn, so I'll toot it for her. She has incredible things pictured on there. Make sure you go all the way to the bottom too and see what she did for Autumn. It's a fold out type of card. Just the most amazing thing! "Our" Joan is a gifted artist.

THANKS! to Joan for her generosity. The two items she sent me arrived MONDAY.

The accordian mini album is going to a home-schooling mom (of 4) whose HS senior daughter loves early American history, so she took her back to Williamsburg and other historic sights. The daugher has already made a scrapbook of the trip, but the mom was wishing she had a smaller book to put pictures in that she can keep for herself. The mom is just getting into card making and was asking me about what she might do. The mini album is red, which will work real well with some of the red/white/blue paper they bought for the scrapbook. And the band around the album has a sweet silver heart that says cherish on it. Super Joan, super!

Joan also gifted me with an idea flip booklet. I'm going to digest it and then decided I would pass it along to a 16 year old that has just started making cards (we get together every so often and craft). It's so nice to see the younger ones take an interest.

I've already told Joan about how her PIF's are being PIF'd.

I've been following this thread since the beginning and really enjoy reading the posts. Because of the kindness of those on this thread, have no doubt you will bear with me in posting some items to give others. I'm awaiting hip surgery and can barely walk, let alone stand in line at the PO. I even get in my car and drive to my mailbox which is at the end of the driveway.

SCS is a wonderful place to "hang out" because of YOU -the special people that are on this forum.

Well...after Joan's generous offerings, these will seem trite, but...chuckle...fixed income folks have to watch our pennies and I'm trying to limit my PIF's to something I can send out without going to the post office. Having said that, I have THREE different items.

The first is a sentiment stamp that measures almost 3" long and almost 1" high.

The next two are offered individually: Q-bit #1 and Q-bit #2. The size is listed on the picture.

First person in continental U.S. to PM me with your name and address may have one. PLEASE state in your title which item you would like to have.

Sentiment stamp has been spoken for. The Q-bits are small, but they are sweet little stamps. Hope I can find a home for the little guys.

Last night I decided to check out this thread and see what it is all about. Well what a wonderful idea and so generous of many. I would like to join in and "Pay It forward as well! Another way to show "Random Acts Of Kindness!"

I have an assortment of embellishments, eyelets, buttons, etc. 3 small rolls of magic mesh and a couple other small goodies.

The 1st person to p.m. me with name address, etc. can have these goodies! Please U.S. only!

I have to say that the S.C.S. is great bunch of people!

Have a wonderful day & Happy Holidays to all!

I've been watching this thread for a while now and I've been inspired to do a little of my own PIF-ing!
I have a duplicate Martha Stewart Himalayan snowflake punch (this is the larger of the punches) that I want to pass along to someone who doesn't have it.
AND I have two of the new Winter Limited edition Distress inks, Festive Berries and Iced Spruce to give away. They're brand new, unused just not in their packaging.

First person to PM me with your details gets their choice of items! Limited to the US only please.

Merry Christmas!

I have a package of brads, bells, paperclips and clothespins that I'd like to give to someone who can really use them. The paperclips are jumbo size so that will give you an idea of how large the clothespins are. Each pile contains 12 of everything except for the two piles of brads in the front...obviously more there. The red, white, pink brads are little hearts and the other pile is just round brads. Will send along the two bears and the #1 Friend charms as well.

First person in continental U.S. to PM me with their name and address will receive it.

Thanks for playing.

Woudl any of you be offended if I started a thread liek this for us north of the border? I am noticing more and more of the people will only ship to the US and people like myself are willing to ship to the US but not be included in these treats

So, you mean you are giving and not able to receive? That doesn't seem fair, does it? For me, it's a matter of fixed income and trying to budget the price of postage. Some weeks even a few dollars makes a difference.

I'm not the creator of this link, but I can surely understand that you want to be able to give AND receive. How would that work then? Would everyone who is willing to ship OUTSIDE the U.S. then leave this thread and be posting on the other thread? Just wondering.

Jenny:

I wouldn't be the least bit offended, especially since lately so many of the giveaways in this thread are U.S. only.

As you know, the cost of shipping to Canada from the U.S. is high ($5.95 vs. $27.95 for me to send a 1lb priority package to Rhode Island and Canada, respectively). Many of us are struggling with the poor economy here in the U.S. Ravioligirl household has a limited income. For the past two months, my household has had no income.

I have a couple more things to list, but have hesitated because I'd have to make them U.S. only. If our Canada neighbors had their own thread, I'd not feel so bad about listing them with a restriction here.

Yes...what Melissa said. LOL.

I, too, would post more, but the cost of shipping is prohibitive for me. I have to wait to work it in our budget. I have tons of items that I had purchased years ago and wish I had the money I spent on them now. LOL. Since I can't get the money, I love giving them away. Better than having them just sit around. Unfortunately, it's the postage that prevents me from doing so. I don't want to list items for sale because they might not be something someone wants to purchase, but they sure could/would use it if it was given to them outright.

I'd love to have ALL the SCS crafters be able to take advantage of the PIF thread. We are blessed with a large group of International stampers on this site.

I've been thinking about the graciousness and sharing in this thread. I feel guilty about receiving a gift of a paying it forward friend and not paying at least the postage. So, is it okay to gift the donors with something if we feel like it?

I'm sure alot of people are struggling with the economy the way it is. And SCS has so many wonderful people and we all join swap groups or what have you which requires mailing items. And with the price of postage, I can understand when someone does not want to mail outside of their country. Now what would happen if someone is willing to send outside the country? Would the US thread be restricted to US only and Canada thread restriced to Canada only? I do believe Jenny has a vary valid point.

OH...YES...I absolutely agree. I wasn't implying that I did not agree, so forgive me if it sounded that way. I wanted to send out of country many times, but when I investigated the cost it was just too much for me. Wanted to send a box of stuff to a gal in Australia, but it was crazy how much it costs to do that.

Yes, yes...I agree. EVERYONE should be able to partake. WHAT IF posters who are willing to send out of the country do something like this...they could vary their offerings. Every other time they post something they could restrict their item and say, "The first NON-U.S. person to PM me may claim my offer."

Just an idea.

If you really want to, nothing is stopping you from gifting the donors. Just remember that if you list something, you will be paying the postage to send it so it usually works itself out in the end.

I suppose we could do three threads: Canada only, US only, and International. As a Canadian, I would follow the Cdn and international ones. When you pick from a thread, you would post your next pif to that same thread or the international one. ie. if I pick from the Canada only, I pif to Cdn or international. If I pick from interntl, I pif to interntl. I think that way it would be fair. What does everyone else think?

Please, DO NOT Feel Guilty!!!
Those of us who post giveaway goodies on this thread do it because we enjoy giving. We don't expect anything in return. I can't speak for others, but for me, being reimbursed for the postage would make it feel more like selling than giving.

The best way to repay the donors on this thread is by continuing to "pay it forward". That said, I realize there are people who have been crafting a short time and have not yet figured out what they will or won't use, or others who have a limited income, thus a limited stash of supplies. For that reason, I don't expect the give and take to be tit for tat.

Default "stickers"

I bought 2 clear mount SU sets ( It's a Wrap Holidays and It's a Wrap Occasions) and don't use the stickers....if someone wants them, they are yours. First PM gets them...us addresses only, please.

I would not want to be reimbursed for what I post either. As stated earlier, I try not to post until I'm close to being able to pay for the postage. And, some of you may feel the variety of my giveaways is strange...LOL...but, I try to appeal to the new stampers who might not have some of the supplies that we long time stampers might think of as basic supplies. Am I making sense? I know what I mean. LOL.

Anyway...I think the name of the thread says it all, just PAY IT FORWARD.

By the way, three of my giveaways will be postal tomorrow. Sweet daughter is mailing them for me.

Thanks!
