I will be spending the weekend of 6/13 in Rutland. I still have a tiny portion of my play money from my stimulus check. Can anyone enable me to stimulate the economy?
I don't think there are any in that area. There used to be a scrapbooking store in Quechee, but they closed up.
There's a store called Scrapbook and Rubberstamp Paradise in East Middlebury, which is about a half hour drive north on Route 7 and she has a really cute store.

There is a stamp store of sorts in Essex Junction..is that quite a ways from Rutland?? She has a TON of stuff packed in a very small store. Probably too far away...Hope you are doing well!! Keri

Gwen's store in Essex is super cute, but it's a good 2 hour drive or more from Rutland. Probably closer to 2 1/2.

Dont know where you will be coming from but Scrapbook Nook in Bellowes Falls (exit 5 off 91) has a section for rubber stamps as well as a huge scrapbook store.

Hey Kerilou! How are you doing? I won't have time to go to Essex Junction. I'm finally taking the Vermont Motorcycle course to get my license. I'll have a couple of hours friday afternoon free, and saturday evening.
The Scrapbook Nook in Bellows Falls is great! Haven't been in a couple of months. But I'm sure thats the long way to Rutland from here! LOL!

I can make it to SBN in about an hour and 15 from Pittsfield (base of Killington) Rutland is another 10 min down the road for me

Not much here in Rutland I'm afraid! The only spots for stamps here are Michaels, Joanns and of course, my house!! :rolleyes:
If you have time I would check out the place in East Middlebury- I haven't been there since they've moved but it's certainly worth a visit.

But there is a Mike's? My nearest Mike's is in Keene. That's an hour away from me (if dh drives, 45 minutes for me...). I do go to Cindy's store in Brattleboro too. Often according to dh...

oh I totally forgot Mountain Meadows Lodge in Killington has a weekend get away June 20-22 for 165 for the whole weekend includes meals and cropping and hotel. I'm going to that if anyone wants to join me.

Well it is summer vacation time!;) Vermont is very pretty in summer and you can take the tram up Killington and in July there is always the wine fest up there.:mrgreen:

oh I totally forgot Mountain Meadows Lodge in Killington has a weekend get away June 20-22 for 165 for the whole weekend includes meals and cropping and hotel. I'm going to that if anyone wants to join me.

I've been told there is a very small store in Castelton that just opned last weekend. It's called moments to Memories and is on Route 4A in Castleton - about 15-20 minutes West of Rutland. I haven't been so I am not sure what she carries.
I love the SBN and haven't been in ages. Maybe time for a short road trip this weekend!

Call the lodge to sign up. The price is based on double occ, so if you dont have a friend to go with I have an open bed in the room i am staying in, since i am going with a mom and adult daughter who stay together. The crop starts on fri and goes thru sunday. PM me if you need more info

I am butting in because I don't know of any stores but I LOVE that area. We hope to vacation there in August. We haven't been to VT in years and really miss it.
I'm taking note on these!!! I want to make sure I check out alot of these places if I get up to visit my brother this summer!!!! He lives in Tyson. I love going up to visit him. It is such a beautiful area!!! I haven't been up in 4 years!!

THERE IS NOT A WHOLE LOT IN RUTLAND UNFORTUNATELY. MY MOM LIVES THERE AND SHE CAN NEVER FIND ANYTHING.
HAVE FUN AT MOUNTAIN MEADOWS.IT'S BEAUTIFUL THERE. I DID NIGHT CROSS COUNTRY SKIING THERE ONE YR.LOT'S O' FUN!

Vensung - As far as I know they dont have any vendors for this crop but were open to having someone host it. I'm still looking for a roomie so that I don't have to pay double the price if you know of anyone.

July 11 at Scrapbook Nook in Bellows Falls, VT (Exit 5 off I-91). Convenient to SW NH, South and Central VT and Central Mass. Its $10 for crop and dinner. I marked my calendar.
