Smile retired sets

What are your favorite retired sets, especially ones retired prior to 2004 (That's when I became introduced and addicted to SU!) and why? Just wondering what fantastic sets I missed!

I think my favorite retired set is Long Stemmed. I return to it over and over. However now that Wonderful Wings and Autumn have retired they may replace it. They were two of my favorite sets.

I love Brushstroke Blossoms!!! If I had a dd, I'd get to use it even more, but I don't think ds would appreciate it!!! LOL! It's a two-step stampin, one flower and one leaf that have 2 stamps each. Really simple and easy to use, and I love the look.

I love my Farm Fresh, such a fun set! I wish I would have gotten the Lighthouse set though... :( It's lovely...

I liked Garden Pleasures, fruit medley and DD Grapes from 2002-03 IBC.
Not sure when they each retired.

If you never saw DD Hydrangea you are missing something. This is a beautiful set and still one of my all time favorites... forever! I can't wait to try it with the new certainly celery and almost amethest. (Luckily, I'm not a demo and can stamp whatever I like!)

My first set I ever purchased from SU was a retired DD hydrangea.
It is really pretty.

Lately, I have been quite addicted to acquiring retired sets. Some of them I have just received and have not mounted or played with yet. I'm looking forward to playing with Hydrangea and Dreams & Dragons. I absolutely love my leapfrogs set. As far as retired alphabets go, I love little letters. I also love meow, meow and bow wow. I don't care too much for the new cat and dog sets. What can I say I'm hopelessly addicted to SU sets both old and new. I'm sorry that I can't pick just one and if I had more time I could probably find more to name.

Take care, Brenda

I would have to say - Dreams & Dragons!

Just LOVE that set. IT is so versitile and has alot of little stamps I use for other projects = grass, clouds, sun & a cute frog. Now that I sent my paperwork off though I was thinking of selling it to raise some money.

Spring Bouquet- it was only in a mini catalog but I have used it a lot.
The first DD Sunflower and DD Hydranga was gorgeous. I was sad when they retired Regal Rose. I loved that set because it was on the cover of the catalog when I discovered Stampin Up!

Default Since I'm a scrapper....

...my *fave* is a little bit different than most. It's an Alphabet!

I was so *BUMMED* when they retired Retro Alphabet Upper, Retro Alphabet Lower, and Retro Alphabet Numbers!!!!!! I have never parted with mine and don't see myself parting with them any time in the future. I just see that as the most *wonderful* set for scrapping photos from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's...almost any era!! And it's great for boys and girls, men and women, teenage girls, teenage boys...you name it! I really like it for whimsical events, and I like that the Upper has straight edges because they're easy to cut. I also like that because they're a "negative" alphabet, they lay down quite a bit of ink.

I still use my sets pretty frequently....just in my personal scrapbook and in my for-hire work. ~ Kaylyn

I love monster mania. I admit I don't use it that much as it is not very versatile, but I love those monsters. They are so cute and I get a lot of various looks by using different colors. I always get comments on how unique the cards are from people I send them to.

I still use the retired sets that I have, and I really like them. I think my favorite that I already have would be Kids at play, or Sketch a party (both retired this year). I am still kicking myself for not buying Tractor Time from the catalog before when it retired. My 4 year old son LOVES tractors, and I am sure my 1 year old son will too! There is so much that I could do with that set!

Fore!, Perfect Pairs, and Tag-Alongs (actually a hostess set in a mini that never made it to the catalog). Love 'em!

Most definetly Paint Prints.. I was heartbroken that that one didn't make it into the new catty because I could use it so often.. Now I can't demo it even though I love it SO much!

I love Sun Ripened II and Coast to Coast (this is the lighthouse stamps). They are incredible sets.

Default Favorite Retired Set

Garden Collage. I really think SU made a mistake not putting this in the new catty. Carol

I have almost as many retired sets as I do current sets.

I have many favorites - Morning Glory, All Occasions, and Bold & Bright, just to name a few......but my favorite that I refuse to part with is Alphablocks. I just bought the numbers to go with them, so now I should be able to use it even more!!!
