I know I have readed this before but can not find it now I hope someone can help me.I bought a stamp set off ebay and the person did not cut out around the stamp before glueing it on the block so now I have to take it apart and redo it and dont know how?Thank you all .
What I do is stick each piece in the microwave for 10-15 sec. Peel the rubber off, recut it and sand the block to get all of the extra sticky off, and then reapply the image.
You could probably apply goo gone to get the sticky off too.
I once traded for a set and it wasn't very closely trimmed. Didn't feel like nuking, peeling, trimming, and remounting, so I just went at it with my utility knife. Just make sure the blade is fresh and it's a snap!

I tell folks 8-to-10 seconds in the microwave because I know that heat damages rubber. Peel and stick on wax paper, then trim and reapply to the wooden block.

I do the same thing and have had great results. The wax paper helps keep extra stucky stuff off my scissors, too.
