Default refresh ink pad

I went to use my classic ink pad today and it seems to be a little dry. It has not been used much so I was surprised. Is there a way to refresh it w/ow a reinker. I am working on a project that I need to finish now. Will it help to spray it with a little water? Thanks for your help.

I have used Ranger Perfect Ink Refresher that I purchased at AC Moore but have also seen at Michael's. It does work well if you don't want to buy a re-inker.

hi there, I have heard of many people who reink their ink pads to keep it going. I bought a bottle of ink refresher by Ranger or Inkessentials and it works great with a few sprays to 'revive' an old ink pad I have not been using.

I've also used Ranger's "Perfect Ink Refresher". It "rehydrates and conditions ink pads and water based markers". I found mine at Mikes.

It sounds like you are wanting to use water. Water is going to dilute the color of your ink. If you must use water then a verrrrry light spritz only. I'd wait and get the reinker. I have the Ranger refresher and it doesn't do much for me. The reinkers work so well.

Now if it's CRAFT ink (pigment) you can refresh by using clear glycerine (baking section of Michaels). Just add a drop and mix in with the back of a plastic spoon!

I went to my Michael's today. They did not have it. Does anybody know if Hobby Lobby or Archiver's carry it? Does anybody know an online source? Thanks for the help.

I'm a Ranger fan also. I love the stuff. I got my at an LSS. Sorry, I don't know who else carries it.

Check with eclectic paperie or addicted to rubber stamps. I believe I've seen it at both stores.

Found mine at Hobby Lobby. The one pad I tried it on must have really needed ink because truthfully, I was not very impressed with the product.
However, I have seen many threads on SCS on this very subject and everyone seems to have good results with the ink refresher. Guess I need to find a dry pad and try again, lol.

Hope you are able to find it.
