Wow! That's a huge difference! The exchange rate issue must really be hurting some of the Canadian demos right now. When a customer orders a set from a demo, do they also pay shipping? (forgive the questions, I'm going to my first SU! event in a couple of weeks)

Yes, the customer must pay all applicable sales taxes and shipping costs -- it's not free to get those new toys into our hot little hands, LOL! Demos must do the same for items we order for ourselves, BTW. ;)
Have fun at your event, and may you be bitten by the SU! bug!

Sigh! I've already been bitten by the SU! bug, and the Michael's bug, and the card making bug, and the ebay bug...it's really beginning to bug me! ;)
Seriously, I never even owned a piece of cardstock until a year ago and now I've kicked my DH out of the computer room and taken over with card-making supplies. It's scary!
Not that I 100% agree with buying SU stuff from ebay, but the tag sets are available there for roughly the catalog price since they aren't available anymore. Be warned though...depending on how bad you want a set, the price could easily be more than what it originally cost. Thus is ebay...
I found it on ebay. I got the tag punch box set PLUS the "terrific tags" for about $63 CAD including shipping (shipping was $13 US and I paid $41 for the box and the terrific tags)
I *think* I did well. (hope so!) I'll still have to pay duty/tax on the package when it arrives which could be another $14 CAD bringing my grand total to $77 CAD so it was like getting the terrific tags for free if I'd bought from a demo.
