Hi all,
My neighbor and best friend's 7yo DD, Larissa, is having reconstructive hip surgery today. She has cerebral palsy and her hips are coming out of socket. They also will be doing a "muscle release" surgery on her legs so that she is better able to straighten out her legs....and eventually stand again. Now her legs are constantly bent in a sitting like position. :(
We are praying that they will be able to do both hips/legs today to make it easier on her overall recovery....ie: only 6 weeks in a body cast as opposed to 12 weeks by doing each hip on seperate occasions.
Following is a copy of a note her Mother sent out yesterday....just to give you a bit of a personal touch to whom you would be making cards for....
>
Larissa has gone though soo much in her short life so far, yet she continues to be such a bright spot in so many lives! She is always ready with a hug for me when I see her....imagine arms outstretched while sitting in a kids wheelchair....
I know Larissa would get a kick out of sooo many cards addressed to her....but her mother would as well! Her mother is a loyal Stamp Camp/customer of mine, not to mention, as I stated above, my dear friend and next door neighbor!!!
Larissa has a twin brother, BJ, who also has CP and Hydrocephalus....and is in a wheelchair.... AND a 6 yo sister, Janelle, who is an "angelic blessing in disquise" by arriving less than a year after her twin siblings arrived into this world!
So, if you would be so kind as to send some cards of encouragement to Larissa....and even to her Mom, Dameron and/or twin sibling BJ and younger sis, Janelle, that would be WONDERFUL!!!! HUGE,HUGE! thanks in advance!!!
