Default Question for SU Demos

I have a question about being a SU demo. I understand from what has been posted this last week that you have to sign a non-compete clause. This has caused issues for those also selling UL because of the new line. What I don't understand is why you can't sell for SU and UL, but yet many SU demo's blogs clearly show the person supporting other stamp companies - some on design teams, but some also seem to be promoting sales. I would think that this would be more of a problem for SU as it is really direct competition? Just wondering if anyone can help me understand. I was doing my morning rounds to some of my favourite blogs and I noticed this on the majority of them actually.

Also - just to clarify - I don't have a problem with these people supporting more than one stamp company - I'm just surprised that it's OK with SU given what's been posted about some needing to choose b/t SU and UL this week.

There have been many discussions of this topic, in fact, there is another active thread about it right now.

The difference is that for design teams, they are simply using the stamps and showing their work. They aren't selling anything themselves. It does seem like a gray area, but SU! again and again has given their demos approval to be on design teams.

Thanks -- I've often wondered that too.

It definitely sounds like conflict of interest so doesn't make a lot of sense. I had wondered also.
