Should you stamp the cage first and then the bird, or do you stamp the bird and the cage over it so it looks like it's inside? Just wondering what most people do.
It looks the same either way, pretty much. I found that the birds are so tiny that stamping the cage in a lighter color looks better - you don't lose the detail of the birdie. So I spotlighted mine - the base cage is black, and the spotlighted part is crumb cake.
I don't have the set to know if it would work but could you stamp the cage and emboss it and then stamp the bird .. would it look more "inside" the cage then?
I did a card with this set for my stamp club, and I stamped the cage first in metallic silver, then the bird in a bright blue. I thought it was easier to place and, for some reason, the bars of the cage stayed visible where the bird was, so it looks like the bird was stamped first! Not sure why, lol.
