New SU catalog

I'm am getting excited to see the new catalog. When are we able to get our first peak?

JanTInk 04-27-2012 08:06 PM

Demonstrators will be able to receive their first copy in their first demo order they place on May 7th and after. They will also be able to see the catalog online on May 7th, but they are not supposed to post it on any other websites including this one. Otherwise, customers will be able to view the online catalog on June 1st.

However, if you have a demo, you can ask her to send one to you directly. We now have the capability to preorder individual catalogs for our customers and have them sent from SU! to you. Customer catalogs ordered in this manner will be mailed on May 14th. You would pay $5 to have one mailed to you, as that is what it costs your demo to send it.

Your demo can also order boxes of catalogs starting on May 7th, so if you are local to her area and want to get one of those, I would ask her to set one aside for you that you can pick up.

crazysuziestamper 04-28-2012 04:33 AM

Jan, What would the total cost be to have one mailed directly to you? I read somewhere the cost of a cattie went down this year.

It's $5. Considering postage alone for a catalog is $5, it's a bargain. That includes both catalog and postage.

Just checking in to see if there are any links yet...

Demos can't see the catalogue until May 7.

And you shouldn't see links even then since we're not supposed to post links to the catalogue.

2CuteCats 05-07-2012 10:54 AM

subbing

Lazorkay 05-07-2012 10:58 AM

sigh..

I've heard the catty is awesome!

Mrs Noofy 05-07-2012 01:27 PM

Someone told me they were issuing 2 per year again. Is this true?

No.
There will be one annual catalogue.

Instead of mini catalogues, there will be two "seasonal catalogues". These will be bigger than the past mini catalogues have been. One will be Holidays (Aug - Dec), the other will be Occasions (Jan - May).

Does this help?

Cathy H 05-07-2012 01:43 PM

No. Just one annual catalog and 2 seasonal supplements. Like the minis but because they will be larger (I think 8 1/2 X 11) they won't be called mini any longer. Each one will be good for 5 months ( like August through December) and SalABration will be during the other 2 months.

My friend, who's a demo, is really excited about the new changes. I'm looking forward to it too.

basketballmom 05-07-2012 02:01 PM

The new catty IS awesome.
At least I think so.

Hope you love it too when you see it. Check with your demo.

You tease! LOL My demo hasn't ordered hers yet. I think she was doing that today.

Mrs Noofy 05-07-2012 02:48 PM

Thanks for the info. I was starting to get worried! Glad to hear the minis are being re-vamped. Everything sounds good to go!

CHaggerty 05-07-2012 03:17 PM

I'm a new demo and saw the catalog today and it looks amazing! There are alot of new things that i think everyone will be excited for. I placed a single item order just so i could get my hands on the hard copy!! :)

$99, fill in the forms online, pick your product ... and you could be looking at the online catty within half an hour! ;)

(Today was the first day that we could order catalogues or place orders that would have them included. Several/many demos expedited their orders. ;))

muscrat 05-07-2012 04:18 PM

I just talked to my demo and she says she can't order until midnight, so I will try to be patient a little longer.

NWstamper 05-07-2012 05:13 PM

Yup, the catty is great and they've done some wonderful improvements to the tools while streamlining the ink/ribbon/embellishment offerings. I think you all will really like it! I enjoyed it online but can't wait to see it in person later this week. Kathy, hopefully your demo will get hers soon and will let you come over and peek. :)

jeanstamping2 05-07-2012 05:38 PM

From what I understand the Catalog is awesome!!!!

AbbysGrammy 05-07-2012 06:58 PM

Just checked out the new catalog on line and all I can say is I'm going to be so broke!!

bb&kk 05-07-2012 07:07 PM

I don't think awesome is an awesomenest word to describe this year's new catalog. I have spent hours looking at it online today. June 1st will not come fast enough.

FiberArtist4Him 05-07-2012 10:51 PM

I was a bit concerned about the big catalog after seeing all the retired items, and even the sneak peek for demos. Those choices seemed limited and not much in my styles. BUT today went through the new big catty and my wish list is the longest ever so far. And as usual, SU did not disappoint. I am a new demo, and plan to start with classes and workshops in late summer. I can hardly wait to order, and sure going to need some good sales, to keep on with the products that interest me the most. Glad we have a great year ahead. There is enough variety, that I think most people, young, old will like the new one. Certainly it is much better than last years!

rollyfan 05-08-2012 12:31 AM

I'm still confused about Sale-a-Bration, in terms of when it's giong to happen. That said, the last couple years SAB hasn't excited me much.

I can't wait to see the new catalogue irl. My demo is having a customer appreciation ngiht on the 16th and I'm hoping she'll have it for us to peek at, though I won't hold my breath. :)

SAB will happen around the time it normally does...in the Jan-March timeframe. They never tell us the exact dates until much closer so no worries:-) It will still be there! It's not considered a catalog, it's a promotion so it doesn't matter the catalog strategy. We will have it during the occasions seasonal catalog period!

I hope your demo has her catalogs! I'll have mine before 10:30 today....I need to go to the gym instead of sitting here waiting, ha!!!

Krysiad 05-08-2012 10:17 AM

Are there any changes to the Hostess benefits in the new catalog?

basketballmom 05-08-2012 10:54 AM

Yes, some slight changes at the higher numbers.
There are more "in-between" levels instead of the large gap that existed last year.

It's a good thing.

And, of course, all new hostess choices.

mzza111 05-08-2012 01:05 PM

I found this link but I think it might be the Canadian catty.

Fixed it so it's the US version.

Ami

muscrat 05-08-2012 01:49 PM

Oh my! I didn't even get through half of it and I have a list a mile long!!!

melissa59 05-08-2012 03:04 PM

I was not at all impressed with the last mini catalog. But this one has made up for it. DRAT! More money I'll have to spend.

Tang, we don't know yet WHEN Sale-a-Bration will happen. But it will happen. I wouldn't worry too much about that!

I hope your demo has the catalogue for you on the 16th ... at least to drool over.
Unfortunately, nothing hockey though ... :(

Oddesigns 05-08-2012 03:10 PM

Looks like my budget will get a break this year. Nothing in this catalog spoke to me.

jeanstamping2 05-08-2012 03:28 PM

Thanks to who ever posted a link the NEW Catalog!! I'm in REAL Trouble :p

My list so far is HUGH! Just in Stamps I have over $200.00 And let's not talk about the New in color's or Designer Papers, Or Embellishments......My list goes on and on.

Now I know I will NEED to get a job in order to pay for it all.

I just wanted to add, The samples in the Catalog are so awesome!!!!

That's a thought. I'll keep it in mind.

I am very upset to see this post.
It is against SU Policy to have this posted and this post should be removed.
One of the fun things about being a demo is that fact that you get to see the Catalog BEFORE everyone else, this also give us (Demos) time to prepare and get to know our catalog before our customers see it.
Many Demos I know are planning BIG catalog release gatherings/workshops/party/swaps, whatever you want to call it.
Its very sad to see this post.

sillyfilly 05-08-2012 05:04 PM

Wow that catty has a lot of pretty stuff in it! I can see my wallet smokin now!

CardLadyToo 05-08-2012 05:05 PM

YIKES! Can't wait till I get my copy in hand - already have my list made out-but will surely see more when I have it in front of me!!!

muscrat 05-08-2012 05:09 PM

I started my list, but I know I will be adding to it as my demo starts making some really cool stuff at class!!

It happens every time a New Catalog is coming out. The only way to control this issue is to contact a Mod and have them remove the link.

TwoChicsCricut 05-08-2012 05:18 PM

This board is so confussing

(I'm sure this post will get removed... no worries)This board is so confussing to me, I post a message saying that I'm hosting a Blog hop for SU demo it gets removed with 2 mins of being up because "I'm promoting" my blog/business, God FORBID ... but really someone post the private information about a company and that this board can't be bothered to remove the post.... really ..... really!
Maybe the person posting it didn't know it wasn't suppose to be posted, its fine, but if this board can remove post the way they do (I've got my post removed many many times because I didn't know all the "RULES") with every other post. That is unreal to me.
Just because it happens every year doesn't mean its RIGHT, or OK
