I've searched, emailed and give up. Does anyone know where this image is from? sc401 Shake your Booty... by kass2667 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I just love it!!

k dunbrook 09-09-2012 07:56 AM

why don't you just email the card maker...sure she will help you out.

bethvb 09-09-2012 08:07 AM

Karen - I did email the card maker.

Cook22 09-09-2012 08:20 AM

Are you asking about the sentiment or the svg file? The sentiment is definitely SU's Bootiful Occasions, but I don't have a clue about the cut file.

bethvb 09-09-2012 08:29 AM

Sabrina, thanks but I am looking for the cut file.

Her last blog post said she had her granddaughter visiting. I know when I have a grand (or two) visiting I don't always get much time to check emails. I'll bet you hear back soon.

bethvb 09-09-2012 10:25 AM

Yes I read that she would be busy with her granddaughter, that's why I posted the question here hoping that some one else would be familiar with the image.

gale 09-10-2012 10:34 AM

That is so cute. Please share when/if you find out where it's from.

gale 09-10-2012 10:42 AM

I didn't find a cut file but I found these. maybe you can trace the image?

If you have a Silhouette machine you can trace that image and make it into a cut file. I just tried it and it worked ;)

The creator of the card answered the question in the comments section :)

I swear I looked everywhere too, and was following this question because I was interested too. Such resourceful people on SCS!

I must be blind because I don't see where she posted that.

guess I am blind because I see it now. LOL

eta: I think it just wasn't loading for me before, because when I clicked to page 2 no comments showed up at all and now several are on page 2.

She coomented at the bottom of page 1 - or at least that's where it shows up for me

gale 09-10-2012 06:01 PM

Right. I edited my post-the pages weren't loading properly on my computer.

gale 09-10-2012 06:21 PM

I can't find that image in any of the MDS catalogs or the flyers that show what is included with the programs.

craftymomto2 09-11-2012 08:28 AM

I wish they would post that information in the recipe section. :(

She may not have realised that she can go back in and edit the write-up to answer a query about supplies there rather than posting it in a comment.

gale 09-11-2012 12:56 PM

I still don't think it's very clear. Like I said, that image is found nowhere in the mds catalog. And usually, mds shapes are the same as solid stamps or punches in the regular catalog and there isn't a shape like that in there either.

Does anyone know how the cut file off of MY Digital Studio would work? I am not familiar with cut files or MDS but if this is the kind of thing you can make, I would be interested.

thanks

Stacey

I don't know what kind of files are in MDS but if it's truly a cut file (and I have my doubts that it's in there at all) you would need an electronic cutter, like the Silhouette, to cut it. You could print and cut by hand but that's a pretty intricate shape. And like I said, I'm not convinced that it's really in the software.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think that MDS would work with any software since it is an SU product.

Nawnee07 09-13-2012 04:33 PM

MDS2 is compatible with svg files and cutting machines. The disc isn't available yet but the down load version is available. Contact your demo for all the newest info. :)

I read that, I have MDS, I researched the SVG files. However the image was no where to be found in MDS or on the stampin up site. So although the questioned seemed to be answered it is still unclear where to go to actually find that image, make it an SVG and use a cutter to make the image.

Gale,
I was able to drag the image supplied in the last link you gave to my desk top, open MDS, and import the image into MDS. It appears to be an SVG file since it doesn't pixelate (I think that's the correct word) when you make the image bigger. The only snag that stops me from being able to cut the image is I have a Cricut cutter and I don't think you can use MDS with the Cricut, it won't recognize the file. But I believe I am a step closer to being able to create something with that image. So thanks again for finding it on the web!!

gale 09-13-2012 07:14 PM

Unfortunately, unless you have the older version of SCAL or MTC and the older firmware from the cricut (not sure about that last part) you can't cut your own files with the cricut. The only thing I've seen some do is use Design Studio (which is also pretty much defunct) and a lot of shapes from cartridges to try to duplicate the image. I'm not sure if you can do that in cricut craft room. The basic idea is to take circles, ovals, squares, triangles, etc and sort of fill in the shape and then weld. It would be a pretty big job, I think.
