Hot chocolate poem or sayings

I need some kind of hot chocolate poem or saying that doesn't include "snowman soup". I have 8 cups with packages of hot chocolate, candy canes, marshmallows & chocolate covered spoons that I want to sell at a Holiday Bazaar. They have sold very well as "snowman soup" kits the past few years but this year they aren't selling at all and 3 different people have asked "Where is the soup ?" For some reason it just isn't going over. I'd love to make some kind of new, cute tags to sell them this next weekend. Thanks for any help !

Here's a cup of cocoa
To drink up as you may,
To help you take the chill off
A frosty winter day.
It comes with warmest wishes
For a Christmas filled with cheer,
And memories that sparkle
Throughout the coming year.

Or

To warm yourself on a cold winter night,
A cup of hot cocoa is such a delight.
Follow the directions to make a cup,
Then sit back, relax and take a big gulp.

Or

Ho Ho Cocoa in a mug.
Wrapped up neatly with a hug.
Pour on water, stir with a stick,
Sip it slowly, get warm quick .

Our JOY (Just Older Youth) group is using these for the December meeting...

A little cup of cocoa,
I'm sending 'round your way.
I hope that you'll enjoy it,
on some cold and wintery day!

As you sip this cocoa,
it's warmth will warm your heart,
just light your friendship warmed up mine,
right from the very start!

Bugga, those verses are quite cute.

Thanks, Karla. They are not original to me - I found them surfing around.

Your verse is great, too.:)

Golly, these are WONDERFUL ! Thank you SO much ! It will be fun to make tags with these poems and I'm sure my cups should sell now. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I found this one recently but don't have the author's name:
Snowman Soup-
Was told you've been good this year
Always glad to hear it
With freezing weather drawing near
You'll need to warm your spirit
So here's a little snowman soup
Complete with stirring stick
Add hot water; sip it slow
It's sure to do the trick

Thank you, Mis.ty, That's the one I have been using and the cups of cocoa & "stuff" have sold like hotcakes at our Annual Holiday Market but this year it seems to go over everyone's head- three different people have asked where the soup is ! We haven't sold a one, so I'll try a different tag which I'm in the middle of making now.

Bugga, I've realized that your first poem would do well with the packages of hot cider, too, so I may try them for the Autumn Market next year. Thanks, ladies, for the help. Someone on SCS always helps those of us in need !

Grannyi - thank you, thank you, thank you. Nice to discover again who made these cute cocoa packages up. It is a super saying. I hope your new design goes over. Usually that is the trick as people want something that looks fresh. I was thinking of doing up one for my SIL and maybe my MIL. My Mom is a little far away to give her one. Hope you have a great day!

 Silly me I just realized you are the OP and you asked for something other than snowman soup. Is my face red! I must try and retain what I read ..

That's fine ! I'm always so amazed at the kindness of all the people on this site, always so willing to share and help each other. Be assured that your poem will help someone else ! Thanks for caring.

Refreshing this thread. Coming into that chilly time of year!

Here is a cute little verse to put on those tea bag packets. There are tutorials for them all over the internet:

Christmas Tea Poem

On Christmas Day, at half past three,
Make yourself a cup of tea.
I'll think of you and you'll think of me,
While sitting around your Christmas Tree

I made some of these for craft shows and they sold well. One lady bought about a dozen for her bridge group.

I'm thinking that should be just "like" your friendship on the next to last line. Thought I'd mention it in case someone started printing them up and realized it too late.

Thanks for catching that. It is supposed to be "like." I think I copied and pasted those from another site. :)

Oops - it was Kraftykarla's post, not mine. Anyway, thanks for the correction.

You are welcome :p Also wanted to mention, that you can put the Peeps Halloween Ghost marshmallows with hot cocoa mix to make "Halloween Soup".

Here's the Scoop
Mix the ingredients
for Halloween Soup
