I would like this also...a little late though. We're moving the last child to school next weekend, so I'll need to hurry!

When my son went off to college I did the 12 days of college. Like the 12 days of Christmas but I wrote my own words and sent all the things he would need. Each day he would get the verse with the goodies and I added to it each time. IT was so funny ,his dorm buddies couldnt wait to see what he would get every day. Hes pretty shy but he made friends fast .At the end I think he had 42 mini shampoo bottles, and underwear to last for years. You get the idea. I will try to find a copy and post it. One things for sure he will always remember his first 12 days of college and hiss crazy mom!!

I'd include in a college survival kit: roll of quarters for laundry (or do they use debit cards for that now??), aspirin/ibuprofen, stamps, a calling card, some restaurant/fast food/grocery gift cards, toiletries, etc. I don't have a whole poem, but when I was in college, our answering machine message was:
"Hi, you've reached Kristen and Jill. If it's after 8, we're probably out. If it's before noon, we're probably sleeping. If it's our parents, I'm sure we're at the library..."
