Card size?

What are the average card sizes? I'm trying to figure out what size to print my digital images.

The most common size is a half sheet of card folded in half again, so 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
5" square and 5 1/2" square are also common. But it's really up to you what size you like! I think it's really just for practical and economic reasons that the A2 size is so popular, because you get two cards from one sheet with no waste.

I primarily make A2 for the reasons Sabrina stated. I can also get about 250 in a flat rate priority box for the troops. Would not get nearly as many in the box if they were larger. For personal cards I often make 6 x 6 & 5 x 5.

I also use the A2... 5.5x4.25 nearly all the time.
For digital images that will be cut out and adhered to the front of a card, printing 6 images on one page makes a nice size. It leaves space for tags, brads or ribbons.Some images are oaky on their own... don't need added embellishments. Then four images to a page works and you can just layer them with a color.

While I often make the A2 size cards, for special people and occasions, I like to work big, and make an 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 inch card (whole sheet folded in half).
