I know that there are specific ways you should not store cling stamps stuck to but I cannot remember what they all are. Did a search and only found not to use CD cases.
What materials are you not suppose to use for storing stamps?
I'm thinking about making my own laminated cards for this and want to make sure it isn't going to case problems with either EZ Mount or clear stamps.

I saw your title and was going to say "anywhere your dogs can get to stamps and chew on them", but then I realized that wasn't exactly what you were getting at.

Save your drama for your llama.
Don't store your rubber that's on EZ Mount (or similar) on any item that is acetate. The EZ Mount and the acetate will eventually fuse together.
As for laminating film, I wrote to the company that makes mine to confirm that the outside plastic is not acetate. You might want to do the same. But mine is safe.
I don't know of anything that causes a problem for clear stamps...but I think I heard a rumor about clear stamps and CD cases. Don't quote me on that one, though!
And I did find out that many CD cases are made of PVA...an acetate. So be sure to check what yours are made of.
Since they make several different types of plastic films, including acetate, I would do one of two things. Read the packaging on the sheets you are referring to, or contact Grafix directly to ask.
Brenda...Looking at that film from Joann's, I think I would check out other options if only because of the cost. My laminating pouches, which are not acetate, are only a bit over $20 for 200 pouches. They're 8.5 x 11 instead of 12 x 12. They can be heat sealed with or without paper or cardstock inside so you could have them clear or not. And a laminator can be had for about $20.
Even factoring in the cost of a heat-laminator, they cost less than 25% of the cost of the grafix film even with the sale price.
I second fionnas reply. Actually this issue is in two or three threads on here at the moment, isn't it funny haw everyone gets the same thought at the same time. What I put in the other thread was that you can get a cheap laminator off Amazon( around $17, if I remember rightly). Laminating pouches can be bought cheap, as fionna said. I've been able to get them from our pound stores( like your dollar stores). I just laminate the pouch, I don't bother putting paper or cardstock in them, but you can if you want to.I have been storing my stamps on these for a few years now, and not getting any problems with them at all.
The big danger, as the others have said, is acetate. Hth.
Please remind me what is unsafe stamp storage...
