Hopefully he will figure it out before No Upload Sundays!

Ack, I am so sorry to have fallen off of the face of the earth!! We've moved (a whole 'nuther thang), and my dsl is at least another week away from getting me back online. Tonight, I finally pulled out an old compy with a regular old modem & did a dial-up connection (whoopee!!!! I feel so alive again!! It's slow, but at least it's connected!!). I got so desperate a few times that I even tried to access SCS from my mobile web, but could only get as far as logging in & eventually got a topic list to come up, but couldn't read any of them. And of course, I'd only try it at night when the airtime was free! It was so slow & so frustrating!!

Doodah, yes, I did get your list (THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!), but it was right before I disconnected my primary compy & haven't been able to get online to update the top post (and now it's on the other compy!). Can you post it as an attachment, or e-mail it to me again & I'll get it up (and try to get the whole list updated!). Ladies, she was so sweet & made me a database with the new (holiday mini) sets!

For those that are asking about sets that don't have galleries or that are retired, YES! Let's get indexes made for every single set SU has ever made!!

Thanks for your patience, and keep those indexes coming (even if you aren't sure if that set is "available"...we can sticky both of them!!)!!

Leslie

Ok that was a long question but anyway

ok, here's my question, which is 2 fold...
If there are SU sets that are not listed, can we get them listed? and then do indexes for them.

For example these sets I know exist, but they are not listed:
Fine Print, the
confetti greetings
stitched Santa
Floral greetings
Fabulous Flourishes
Acorns wheel
Bold sunflower wheel
anytime greetings
swirling leaves wheel
feline friends wheel
Harvest hello
Thanks be for Thee
Brighter Days (the first one, retired)

There are more I am sure.

many of these I can make indexes for if needed, Just PM me, once the actual categories are created.

I can do L'Chayim, Sweet Songbirds, and, I think, Straight Up Numbers and Alphabet. It may take a bit, but friends of mine have those sets and will share!

OK so this coming week, I'll work on the above and I found some others...
frolicking frogs
anytime greetings
Hyways & Byways
Musical score
Wish for you, A
Tiny Teapots
What's cookin' (or whatever the old recipe card set was I have it, I'll do it)

Sitched Santa and Floral greetings belong to a friend so it may be a little while B4 I can do those, but I'll get on the rest.

When I checked the other day there was no gallery for the new jumbo wheel Birthday either.

Is there an updated list that still needs to be done? I can check and see if there are any I can do to help.

OK, so this is frustrating...I have begun making indexes for these older sets that a need a gallery and for the past three days, the indexes I have made have sat in my gallery, waiting to be put in their rightful place. I am not going to keep doing the work, if they are not going to be used. It is not just my time, it is also my CS and ink, KWIM??

FINALLY....an update!! You may have already uploaded them (and if so, feel free to ignore the following assignment announcements ), but on my list (now updated in post #1!), I now have the following changes:

Yapha, I put you down for Hebrew Holidays & L'Chayim

Valentina9, I put you down for Eau de Cologne wheel

Newinker, I got you down for Super Squirrel

Mrikitty, I don't have many of those on my list (I didn't go through each set name to make sure...I wanted to go ahead & get this out before something else came up & I had to put it off again!! ), but if they already have galleries, then they were likely on the original lists (mine was leftovers that hadn't gotten assigned when Tasha & Kelli were managing them) & probably had people volunteer for them. If there still isn't an index for them, please go right ahead & make one! If there isn't even a gallery for that set (which simply means there weren't enough cards uploaded that had used that set), make an index anyway & they'll put it in the alphabetical (A-C, etc.) gallery that the set would have fallen under. In other words, if you do not see an index made for a set that you own, and it isn't assigned on my list, make one anyway!! (bold so everyone will take note!)

Kimberli, I put you down for Prehistoric Party & Leaf Fest

Stamper-C, I put you down for Tricky Treats & Simple Seasons

Bluebearry2429, if you have them both, YES, definitely do them both!

Indyemmert, I put you down for Play on Words

Basketballmom, of the 3 you listed, the only one that hadn't already been taken was the Straight Up Alphabet Numbers

Jranagel, that wheel wasn't on my list. All of my old catty's are packed up, but if it was new this year, it would have been on Kelli's list & may have gotten assigned. If it wasn't new this year, then it was probably on Tasha's original list & still may have gotten assigned. It does have a gallery (at the bottom of A-C's first page), but doesn't have an index card....if it was assigned, then they just haven't done it yet. Go ahead & make one anyway! If their's comes through, we'll have 2!

starshockey2435 is down for Puck Play (via pm)

Whew!! I hope I got everyone!!

I'm so sorry I haven't been around enough to answer questions for you. I think you figured it out already, though, but if you uploaded them to your own gallery, instead of to the Index Gallery, they won't get moved unless we gallery mods happen to notice them there. I'll go right now to your gallery & check to see if there are others that need moving, though. Tracy is the only one that takes them out of the Index Gallery & moves them to their permanent homes & makes them "stickies". There are only 8 in there right now, so she's doing a much better job than I am at keeping up....in fact, she's been the only one to do the moving, so she's had a much bigger job than I have!!

Rest assured, though, that your work is not unappreciated!! We truly appreciate every single one of these index cards & their fantastic volunteer designers!! If anyone sees that one of theirs didn't make it to the right place, PLEASE let Tracy or I know & we will get it fixed (well, now that I'm mostly done moving, anyway! unpacking is still going to take awhile, but at least I'm back online!).
Leslie

p.s.--After I made the ones that I did, I took them apart & used the parts on other cards. Call me frugal!!

OK, having checked on them, I see that you did indeed upload them to the right gallery...Tracy just hasn't moved them yet. I'm confident that she will, though! Keep doing what you're doing...we're definitely going to use them (they're fantastic)! Oh, and I love how you even included the name of the set on the index card...brilliant! I have Tiny Teapots, too, and even found a little incentive stamp coffee cup that matches it really well that I keep with the set. Not being a demo, I couldn't tell you what set it's from, though. Let me know if you'd like to see it & I'll upload a pic.

Hi Leslie,
I wondered where you've been. poor thing;appreciate your efforts. I am not sure where I'm supposed to find what the asteriks mean next to a set on the first page. Most of the oldies i had were gone by the time i finished them. I would have to mail you the things to help me upload (sorry). But, I do have the hedgehog one for Christmas (can't remember its name now) if you still need that. I see it one this page 1 with the asterik.

Anyway, could you PM me your address? or let me know if i'm too late again.

TIA

I am very sorry that you are so upset about this.

This is a volunteer project for you as well as us behind the scenes... Please do not be frustrated as they will be used. I am one person doing this. If you feel like you are wasting your time and/or your ink and CS, then please do not do so.

As for the sets that do not have a gallery, one will not be made for them as was stated in the threads. The Index Card will be put into the appropriate letter catagory, ie A-C and such.
Again, I am truly sorry that you feel this way.

But, I do have the hedgehog one for Christmas (can't remember its name now) if you still need that. I see it one this page 1 with the asterik.

Anyway, could you PM me your address? or let me know if i'm too late again.

TIA
The asterisks just mean my computer is goofy. For some reason, if I paste from excel into a thread, it makes the list but with asterisks. Basically, if it's on that list, that means that there is a gallery for that set, but nobody has indicated that they will do an index card for it. So, yes, if you want to make them & snail-mail them to me to upload, I don't mind that at all! You're so sweet to do that!! I'll pm you my address.

Leslie

Oops...I should have finished reading before replying.
If you're ever just looking through the gallery & see a set that doesn't have an index card made for it, and it isn't on my list, if you want to make an index for it, GO FOR IT! The other person that had been assigned to do it probably forgot or something came up. We're not following up to make sure people that offered to do them come through...I don't have time for that yet & most people are anyway!

I'll still pm you my address in case you see one like that that you can do. Or you can just send me a card.

Thanks again!
Leslie

As for the sets that do not have a gallery, one will not be made for them as was stated in the threads. The Index Card will be put into the appropriate letter catagory, ie A-C and such.
Again, I am truly sorry that you feel this way.
It was stated on another thread by JBalcer that they wanted to make a gallery and indexes for every SU set made.

so that is what I was helping with. I guess I will stop making indexes until both the left and right know what we are doing.

Can we get a definitive answer on this, there are plenty of stamp sets, bkgds and wheels that do not have a category yet; INCLUDING new stuff.

I will check with Jenn ASAP and if that is the case then I will certainly do it. I will let you know via pm what I find out from her.

For future reference:
In regards to the old/retired SU sets that don't have current galleries...
Per Jenn (JBalcer):
We certainly appreciate all of the time and effort that has gone into the gallery index iniative. It's such a great addition to the gallery!
Yes, I did make a comment on one of the threads that we would add galleries for the retired stamp sets. And yes, this will be done as time permits, and if there are already samples to populate the new gallery. We had previously said that we would *not* add any retired sets to the gallery listings, and have since changed our position on this.
It does take some time to get new gallery categories set up, and to get everything moved, and we appreciate your patience as we do this.
