Default Plastic sleeves & CAS ideas for cards ?

The Senior Center is having a Holiday Craft fair. They asked if I would make and donate some cards for it.
I am a little nervous about it as I am sort of new to this and have never made cards for anyone except my family and close friends.

I am going to make a dozen or two of cards so I need to find ideas for simple cards . I have been looking in the Gallery for CAS cards
They want Birthday and Thank You cards . Someone else has offered to make Christmas cards

I want to put them in plastic sleeves . Where do you I buy them?
Also if you have any CAS ideas that sold well I would appreciate it.
I want to come up with some ideas that people want to buy.
It would be a let down if I make a bunch of cards and no one wants them

That sounds like a lot of fun! Whenever I need simple card ideas, I start with a Mojo Monday sketch. Some of them are very simple and some of them are more involved so just look until you find something you're interested in. You can make several different looking cards just by switching up your papers, the orientation of the sketch, embellishments.

I usually do pretty simple cards and there are a few on my blog that could be re-created easily.

As far as the plastic sleeves, I use the Stampin Up! clear envelopes. You get 50 of them for just $4.95 and they are good quality.

Let me know if you have any questions!

What a wonderful idea! If you've been prowling the CAS cards in the gallery, you've no doubt come across Susan's (LateBlossom). Her blog, Simplicity, is full of gorgeous, simple card ideas that would be perfect for mass production. With stamps from your collection in mind, look for a few of her cards that have a layout or technique that will highlight them. Making that first card always takes a while, but once you have the design down, the next dozen *almost* make themselves.

Thanks Sarah & Kristi for the links and idea to use Mojo Monday sketches. I am going to make 3 or 4 different Birthday card designs in the batch.

I have an idea for the Thank you cards
I have a very nice Thank You stamp and I am going to heat emboss it with gold .
Then I saw this technique using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. It is by Nilda at the Cuttlebug Spot and she leaves an empty space in the center of the card . She calls it Double Embossing . That is where I will stamp the Thank You

the cuttlebug spot: Videos/Tutorials

With a small black satin flat bow( the style that has no loops) I think it would work for man or a woman Thank You card
Now on to ideas for Birthday cards
Thanks again
