Cute idea: matchbox to coordinate w/ candle! I never thought of that & I never know what to do w/ those matchbooks I see in packs of 3 or 4 at Michael's, & maybe AC Moore. But they don't have the strike plates, I don't think......maybe they do???

http://www.vippies.com sells them. They come with notepaper in them and you can add a mini calendar to them for very little $.

oops! I didn't read your post very well--you actually want matches. I will need to do some searching through my files to see if I have ever come across those.

Okay. I don't have anything on matchbooks but I do have notes on two sites that sell diecuts of lots 'o styles of boxes (including matchstyle boxes) out of SU paper. They come to you flat and scored. The sites are:

So where did you find them? I would like to make some to match a topper that I will stamp and add a tealight candle in for birthdays. Thanks in advance.

I buy mine at the dollar store(10 for $1.00) but they have a design on the outside of the box - so I just cover it with very neutral paper or cardstock and then start stamping. They make nice gifts with candles - I have planned to make 20 up for Christmas gifts.

Default Match Boxes

I just made some using the little boxes of matches and they came out so cute. I found them 4 for $1 at Walmart. I covered mine with Pretty in Pink CS and than stamped "Cute As A Bug" (the big dragonfly stamp in that set) with black ink on white cs and colored it in with yellow and pink. I adhered that piece to a piece of barely banana cs and than that all went on the front of the matchbox. It matches the candle and other asscessories I made. It's so much cuter than the little white match books and easier to find. Carol
