Default Picking colors & stamps

Ok so here is my thought ..

I KNOW the set I want to use but not sure of the colors.. My daughter & I always do the hand heart and GKD has the BEST set in which I bought to use to make her a card

its this set
Where your Heart is

I'm just not sure what colors to use.. I mean she LOVES black .. ICK I'm tired of doing the "goth" colors for her ... but shhhhh dont tell her lol.. she just thinks she is kinda sorta goth tho she has blonde hair LOL

So when you pick a stamp set do you know the colors? or do you see colors and go OHHHHHHHHHH this will go good with this stamp set..

I never know what colors I will use when I buy a stamp set. I could use a "color for dummies" type of book. I usually look at magazines for color ideas or use a color wheel. For instance I just saw a Kraft-mauve-dusty rose combo in a bed linen catalog last night that I was drooling over. I can't wait to try it.

I don't know what colours I am going to use before sit down to stamp.

Goth...how about girly goth...not so much black but charcoal, or dark grey, a cerise or even baby pink and white.......
