Default Penguin Paradise - give up!!!!

Okay I am throwing my hands up trying to get hold of this set, it is either going for the most ridiculous prices on the bay or you are all sitting on it!!!! lol

So my query here is would any kind soul stamp for a whole load of their gorgeous images and I will stamp something back, i have a load of bellas, two of the bitzy bugz, Hero Arts bird-day oh and a new set Pink Cat Studio Cat Plate 2, if anybody might be interested in doing an image swap.

From a very desperate Penguin Lover!!!! lol

I have the set and would be glad to stamp some images for you. Have never done it before so let me know exactly what you want.

Please answer a question for the clueless (me). Why do people ask for stamped images when they're looking for a particular stamp set? TIA!

Hi MT Nest, sometimes we ask for stamped images when we can't find (or can't afford) the entire stamp set.

For instance, I needed a particular truck image for some Father's Day cards but didn't want to spend the $26ish on buying the set. I pm's a friend who had the set and she stamped me some of the trucks onto white paper for me. In return, I stamped her some bella images she loved. Hope that explains it. It's just a fun way of trying out a stamp set without buying it. Hugs,

That's what Wish RAK is all about. Many, many stampers are wanting just a particular stamp from a set so they'll post on the Wish RAK thread and someone who has that set will grant their wish. Check it out.

So...do you then use those images on a card? I think I'm a little slow catching on today - I'll blame it on pain meds.

Thanks for helping me understand this!

Yes, you've got it! People usually stamp a few images or so on quarter sized sheets of cardstock. If it's a big image then maybe only one and then you've got stamped images to color/cut/design how ever you want for your card. In the Wish RAK forum you are able to request what stamps and the color inks/cardstocks you would like the images in.

And like said before, it's a great way to try out a set you're just not sure about buying. Or if you need a stamp for one certain occassion and know that you'll probably never need it again. Hope that helps!

Do you know for such a popular and hard to get hold of set, there are not a lot of cards in the gallery with this set? Why is that do you think?

I think penguins are more popular now then when the set was out. I think they were out before their prime time. I would love to see more cards with them. I should scan/photograph some to put up I suppose.

Default swap?

I too would love to swap for a handful of the Penguin Paradise images. Is there anything anyone is seeking images of that I may have? Please PM if intested - hopefully we can work something out!

Thanks in Advance!

Hijacking to ask how to access the Wish RAK. Is there a thread for it? I've looked before but couldn't find anything.

It's within the RAK forum. If you're not a member of the RAK group and would like to join: Click on your name in the upper right hand corner. Go to the bottom of the list on the left. Click on group memberships and you'll be able to click on "join group". Approval could take a couple of weeks.

There is one going on the 'bay for about 27. I don't know what it would have gone for? There are several SU Penguins on there right now. I don't know your price point though.

Blessings,

Ciebelle

I'm happy to do some penguins if any of you don't get enough images...and definitely check out wish RAK. I haven't been active in it for awhile, but last fall I got the perfect images from other people to use for gifts for specific people, like music teachers, etc.
