Paisley Color Combinations

Has anyone found some good color combinations to use with the paisley background stamp? Like what color ink on what color paper? I just got my paisley in today and wanted to check out what others had done.

I really like black ink on Chocolate Chip. Did it for my friend/downline's DH's bday. He really liked it, she LOVED it.

I also like the same color ink on the same color cs.

Tempting turquoise on gable green
pink passion on pretty in pink
real red on positively pink
basic black on pink passion/realred/anycolor!
real red on white (did you see elaine ~happyhearts~'s paisley embossed w/red ep & colored in? exquisite!)

Chocolate chip on creamy caramel
rose romance or rose red on pretty in pink
night of navy on bliss/brocade/bordering blues, taken w/teal, tempting turquoise, real red

What is this? Are you trying to drive me insane? I have my paisley and am stamping happily along and now there are all sorts of different colour combos I have to try. There aren't enough hours in the day to properly appreciate this stamp. I do love using it with my Cool Cat set.

Try Pink Passion Craft ink over Only Orange!!! WOWZA! The photo I uploaded earlier using it doesn't do it justice, I'm afraid.

Only Orange Craft over Summer Sun is also eye-poppin'!

Try Bliss Blue or Blush Blossom on Vanilla--just soft and sweet when done with Classic Ink.

Try Baroque Burgundy over Real Red--VERY RICH!

I also did Craft White on Real Red--Ooooooooh!

Also, try Old Olive over Sage Shadow--unexpected and LOVED it!

I plan on trying Close to Cocoa over Bliss Blue and Pretty in Pink first chance I get . . . I'm fairly certain I will not be disappointed!

UGH!!! I had just talked myself out of this set and now I read this!!! I can only have will power for so long - this peer pressure to buy it and try these great color combos though..... :oops:

Hmmm...do I NEED anything else to put another order in so soon (just put one in Thursday!!!)!!!

I am compiling a list of all the color combos in order......yes,I know, I'm annal.

Thanks everyone for sharing. The forest foliage on magenta that I posted...was found by accident. I had inked up the paisley with forest and was going to ink another color. But I dropped it and it fell on magenta. EUREKA!! it looked great! So great, that I used the color combo in a swap.

I wonder if they had decided to keep this stamp out of the new catty and are now regretting that decision. I for one hope it stays especially since the fabulous artists here are cranking out some hits for us to CASE.

What's up with the CRAFT pink passion on only orange? Will the classic pad not do the same? But I don't have the craft pad

Craft pad gives you way richer color than the classic would. I have gotta go CASE julie's tonight! Forget making Easter baskets! There's STAMPING to do!

I don't have paisley - YET - but has anyone tried the chalk inks? I just got them and love them, just wondering what they would look like with paisley?

How about stamping on vellum in black and then coloring the back side with markers. Can't wait to try that.
