Default One of my PB butterfly stamps is curling

One of the larger stamps in my Social BUtterfly set has a curled wing tip, it won't lie flat in the case (I have the set in an SU DVD case) or on an acrylic block. I can still ink it and stamp with it, but the tip of the wing flops and I have to be careful.

Am I storing it wrong? I'm cleaning it with Stampin Mist. The rest are okay, although I don't find these stamps stick so great to the DVD case. My PTI clears stick fine.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I am not sure which stamp company the Social Butterfly is from....SU?? If it is, you could contact your demo and see if they can help you.

Penny Black. It's a clear stamp. I've had it for several months and it's one of my favorites.

I'm not quite sure what the cause would be but, if all else fails, you could put some 2-way glue on the wing tip so it would stay (like Aleene's Tack It Over and Over or Sailor 2-in-1 Glue, for example). That way it would stay put and you wouldn't have to be fussing over it to make it work properly...

I thought of that. And I can do it for sure. I think Tombow would work. But I wonder why it happened. Perhaps I need to call Penny Black. Or, actually, the retailer who sold me the set. When you order from Penny Black, they just have the retailer nearest you send you the stamps. PB does not ship stamps themselves.

I just do wonder if this has happened to anyone else with a clear stamp. I can't be the only one, ever.

I just went and took a good look. I think what may have happened is that this stamp was the one with its "head" near the crease in the case. I may have put it in crooked and so it got curled up because it's wing tip was leaning against the spine. None of the other stamps are doing anything like this at this point. And I think keeping them in the SU DVD cases is okay.

Duh. Now to figure out how to straighten it out. Suggestions?

You could try putting it on an acrylic block, then putting another block on top to coax it to stay put - reinforce its "memory", so to speak...Maybe overnight...?

Worth a try. I'll go do that and let it sleep there overnight. If when I pick up the top block it sproings up again, I guess it's time to put some tacky glue on it.
