Gina K has a video here showing how to bend clear sentiment stamps to follow a curve I never liked clear stamps but this idea is so great I will need to cave and buy some . It would also work with the curved banner dies from Spellbinders that are such a nuisance to get words lined up to fit the shape

TFS-GinaK makes it look easy. I will have to try this because it gives me a way to put a sentiment stamp to more uses. You can do this technique with sentiments for any occasion.

I've done this before and really liked the results, I got the idea from a couple stamps with meant to be curves in them and found that with the curves you don't have to be perfect which is something I'm not good at!

Now I'm off to watch Gina and I'll probably pick up more ideas, she's so talented!

I like doing this with clear stamp sentiments too. Stampology even have a couple curved stamp blocks for this.

That's what makes the clear sentiments so versatile. They're flexibility is so handy! It's so easy to shape them right on the clear block and then stamp away!

I did this by accident with a clear sentiment. I have this great sentiment that was about 6 inches long and said
merry...merry....merry over and over. I must have put it away awkwardly the last time I used it, because the next time I went to use it, it had somehow curved itself into a gentle arc. It was great for my next project, but I can't get it to go back straight. Every time I try to straighten in out, it just snaps back.

Any suggestions on how to straighten it out again?

I also used Gina K's idea to bend the clear stamp to follow the curve with this card:
I bent the word Birthday to follow the curvature of the circle. This was my first attempt at this.
It helped a little bit better when I used my block that I keep a sheet of Tac-N-Peel on it. Or is it called Tac it Over and Over? Anyway, that kept it more in place and curvier on the next cards I made.

Have you tried using that Tac-N-Peel or Tac-it-over-and-over? I keep one block covered with it just for cling stamps and things like this. If you want to keep it straight, lay it out straight on the Tack-it-Over and Over sheet, and it will hold it in place for that purpose. The nice thing about these sheets you can curve your sentiment again if you want to.

I love clear stamps so much! I too have a "merry, merry..." that got slightly curved. I was able to straighten it, but now I have more ideas how to use it...even if it is curved!

I use the same technique often to make my straight sentiments fit inside circles.
