I'm in so much trouble!! LOL!! I see so many things I want...stamps, papers, accessories. I don't think I've liked a catty this much in a couple of years!!!
I can't wait to get a hard copy - I bet then I'll love even more!!! Andrea

Default SU Spring-Summer catty

I couldn't wait for the new SU catty to come out. Checked it out recently. While the cover is very pretty, I didn't see much other than one or two stamp sets that I liked. Overall, I would say I'd be saving $ this time. I am drooling over SU's sellabration sets - they just somehow beat the new SU Spring-Summer catty.

What are your thoughts on this?

I have to admit, I wasn't really blown away. There are some GORGEOUS papers, but most of the stamps just aren't my style. There were some lovely flower stamps, but I have soooo many of those already ... I really don't need any more.

Oh, and one more thing, SU added a dinosaur stamp set for the boyish charm. I wasn't 'wowed' by it. As much as I am always drawn to flower stamp sets, I hope they bring in more boyish stamp sets in the July catalogue. For instance, how about vehicles, legos, rockets, spaceship creatures, wheels, bikes, etc for this category. I wish SU had a website address I could send in my ideas!

It sure goes to show that this craft of ours is such an individual thing...I don't really see anything in the SAB sets that has me drooling, the new catty on the other hand easily contains $400 worth of stuff I wouldn't mind owning! ACK!

I totally agree about boy sets. Everyone I know has had a boy within the past year, so I'm going to have plenty of boy birthdays coming up and I want a good set, but I'm not in love with anything in this catalog. Space ships or some other kind of vehicle like planes or cars would be awesome! The dinosaurs are very cartoon-ish, which I'm not sure will work for my 8 year old nephew. He's into realistic looking dinosaurs now.

I looked through the new catalog rather quickly on-line and some things were cute but nothing really grabbed me. There were a few sets that I liked but maybe that will change once I get my hands on a paper copy. I loved the new papers, though! I am addicted to SU DP!

I'm another person who wasn't wowed by anything in the catalog.

Most of the sets I will wind up getting were holdovers from the fall winter catalog.

Am I ever relieved. I was fearful I'd be the only one who wasn't blown away by the new catty. I've only seen it on line but there wasn't a whole lot out there that grabbed me. Think I may have seen a couple of new sets I'd like to have but think I'll probably be spending my $$$ on CS and inks.

One of a Kind is my favourite new set. I think it will coordinate really well with all sorts of things I have (like Priceless)....and the price isn't bad at $23.95 Cdn. I also like the coordinate punch - boho blossoms. And my favourite new designer series paper is berry blossoms hands down!

I'm pleased to see the Cdn prices came down a bit (they can do more in this area).

Overall I likes some of the projects/ideas in the catalog, but will have to wait until I have one in my hand to really pore over it as it's hard online. So far I just love pages 108 & 109 - they are so me

While there weren't a whole lot of new things that were me, I was pretty happy with what I saw and that the must have's from looking at it are within my budget! (If there had been more things I *loved* it would have been harder, you know?!

I am thrilled too...do you think SU might have read our gripes in the forums, or payed attention when masses of SCSers emailed them about this issue?????
