Default ocean city stamping by the sea convention

I finally made it to stamp scrap art tour thing in westminster last fall and was totally wowed by the options. I'm making plans to attend the stamping by the sea stamp convention at the carousel hotel in OC, MD on april 5-6-7th.

Anyone here been before and can share info? I tried finding info on the forums since we have a big Ft. Meade group/blog, etc. but didn't see anything, so my apologies if i've posted this in the wrong section.

specifically i'm wondering if it is important to stay AT the convention hotel?
are the classes worth it? Any that you've taken and regretted spending the money? If I go up friday for classes and "do the floor" on saturday is there any reason to stick around for sunday as well? Thanks in advance!!!

I haven't been ther but the web site said they are offering rooms for $55 which is a bargain. It is nice not having to travel. Sounds like a fun trip, just way too far away for me to attend. Hope you get some input from others who have attends before.
