I know there are a few of us! There have to be. I'm just not into a lot of bling on my finished items, be they cards, scrapbook pages or paper crafting. I use embossing, I use paint, I use metal and beads, I use all sorts of things, but I don't use much bling. I own ONE bottle of Stickles. I might even be able to find it within five minutes, if you twist my arm hard enough.
I love the idea of bling - and so, I have acquired lots and lots of it. In actuality though I rarely ever use it. For me, I think it cheapens the look of the card (even if it is a "frivolous" card. That however doesn't stop me from buying all of that crap. Just like my fabric stash - I feel I need to have it on hand for that one particular project when I'll need it. Sort of like when you are putting together a card or a quilt ( doesn't matter which, the stash syndrome is the same) - I want to be able to reach for exactly what I need at 11:30 at night.
I do have rhinestone brads, but I rarely use them, and if so, it's just ONE per card in the center of a flower. I do however use tons of Pewter, Aged Copper and Hemp!
I love rustic!

I dont use a lot of bling or stickles either - I tend to be more girly/flowery, I think. I LOVE the use of colors and cards that pop - that tends to not need any bling, lol. But if its' there, or fits the card, I don't mind it either
I have several bottles of Stickles, and several more containers of various kinds of glitter... but the most I usually use is a sparkly Gelly Roll pen to outline something. I never can get the glitter to look right without looking "cheap".
I'm not into bling either. I don't like the mess and how it gets all over everything. I figure if I don't like it, there is a good chance the person receiving the card won't appreciate the mess either.
I'm not big on bling on cards, myself or in general. I am prissy and girly, just not into what I deam "overdone"...
I totally feel ya!
Each to their own.... keep it simple sister. YOu are not alone!
Sometimes I bling; sometimes I don't. (I think bling is a verb, right?) If I know I'm going to hand deliver a card, I may bling a little more. I just bought my first Stickles, so I'm only starting to use them.

I'm not big on bling, either. I have some (a few bottles of stickles, a couple of glitter pens, etc) but more often than not it DOESN'T make it on to a card. I'm more into matching colors, patterned paper and fun lay-outs.
It just isn't my style! I like to use embellishments, but not shiny, sparkly ones... Maybe a Dew Drop or Crystal here and there, and the occasional glitter, but that's about it for me...
I love bling but tend to not use it very much! I am like another poster who said that she often forgets. It is a bit hard to do when the item is already stuck down! I love bling but obviously don't like planning!!! :p
I admire cards with bling but have learned that I am glitter challenged and I stay away from rhinestones and other blingy stuff too. Not that I don't like it, just that I can't use it gracefully

I can't take too much blinginess myself. I like SU's rhinestone brads and Spica glitter pens (because it's subtle) and every now and then Dazzling Diamonds. I've never even tried Stickles. I'm not even sure what else there is that qualifies as "bling!" I think if there's a detailed image it can be tricky to use bling and not detract from the rest.
I can go both ways. Sometimes I like things sparkley, but other times I don't. I love the stickles, but I have to remember not to squeeze the bottle too hard or I will get a huge clump.
I can't see it :( Is it embedded? I can't see embedded photos for some reason. I thought you accidentally hit the load button before you were done with your sentence LOL

I like a little bling once in while but I usually pass on it. Using bling effectively takes talent. I did just get some kind of glitter pen that is very subtle so I am more likely to use that.
LOVE THE BLING!!! When used on the appropriate card it dazzles and delights. I use it according to who I am making the card for. If they are girly, glamorous, or like my sister who just turned 50..she has sweaters with glittery threads in them. When I made her birthday card this week, had to use black, rose red, and she loves purple. Added some cute purlple rhinestone brads and viola!!

purlple? you know I ment purple. I gotta try to start a gallery, cause I Love how her card turned out. I'm photography challenged and to lazy to go all out with white boxes and don't know how to scan either:( I really do want to share my cards too!

I don't have the white boxes either...I just set my card on my black dining chair, which I scoot near the window to get in plenty of light. I don't know if the photography would be classified as professional or perfect, but it's good enough for uploading cards. You could use plain white paper leaning against the back of a chair, and another piece under the card on the seat of the chair. KWIM?
HTH and we want to see your cards : )

I do like the stickles too.
Maybe we should define Bling...
I do like embellishing... but not overdone. I think of BLING as overdone.
Again.... everyone's opinions on this must differ.
