Default New Define Your Life Stamp Set ?'s

I was wondering what "double mounted" meant...does anyone know? Also, do you guys like this set? Think it is worth the $$$? I am really drawn to it but have only been stamping about a year and $50 seems like a lot for a stamp set...but, it does seem so versatile? What's everyone's thoughts???

Double mounted means you will put two rubber stamps on each wood block. One on each side.

I love this set! But no way I am going to pay $60 Canadian for it. Another case of shaft the Canadians... I mean that in the nicest posible way, but really. It is over priced. Guess I won't be getting it any time soon!

It means you would have two stamps on one block - saves space...

I love this set and it is on my Wish List - I will have it one day...

You know if you really break down the stamp sets to a per stamp price they are actually a great deal...of course if you only love one image that doesn't help much...but for example

Define your life - $47.95 - OUCH right...but break it down to the cost per stamp - $1.71 - yep $1.71 - ok when you add in S&H and tax it might come out to be about $2 per stamp

Well in poking around the net I came accross some stamps that are very similar in style and size to the images in the Define your life set...

the cost - $7.75 mounted and $3.25 unmounted.... (+ shipping and handeling) - so to get 28 UM stamps it would cost you over $90 (+ S&H) mounted - over $217

Another set I love - love the font style is Absolutely Fabulous - $20.95 - breaks down to about $2.62 a stamp...comparing against some of the Amuse saying stamps at $6 each - pretty good bargin...

This one is going to be on my first demo order...hooray for the discount! I definitely think it's worth the investment...because like Jenni said, it's really not bad at all when you look at the cost per stamp.

You mount one piece of rubber on the side, one on the bottom and the sticker on top.

You put it (them) on the opposite side - think 4 sides to the block of wood. 2 are used for the rubber and 2 for the stickers. It sounds complicated, but it's not really - and much easier to explain if you could see it being done.

Maybe some can do a better job of explaining....... anyone?
