I have to show you what a cool thing mamakimberly is doing now! I followed the link in her signature line yesterday to see about her handwriting fonts. This is the neatest thing in the world! You write out the alphabet and special characters and scan and email it to her, and she does her magic and makes you your very own font with your handwriting! And it's only $5 if you allow her to resell it to others; $10 if you want it to be for your use only. I sent her my sample at midnight last night and had my font in less than 24 hours!
I'm not a scrapbooker (yet), but think how neat it would be to do your journaling in your own handwriting without having to worry about boo-boos and ink smudges!
Wow! I love this idea! I may have to have one too!

SOLD...that is so cool...writing down my alphabet now.
If you want to get one, follow the link to mamakimberly's stuff and send the money first. She gives you the instructions you need to make it all come out beautiful. The most important part is that she wants you to write on plain white paper with a black Sharpie.
Yup! You don't have to use a fat sharpie, fine tip is fine, but the sharpie is KEY! You can use another type of black marker, but ballpoint pen or pencil or whatever looks AWFUL!
The stampin'write journalling markers would work great too! I prefer sharpie above all else
This is soooooooo cool.........everybody......one---two---three JUMP on the bandwagon. What an awesome opportunity!!!!!
Thanks for the link and thanks Kimberly!!!!
A Caroline from SCS sent an email to the store owner asking how to install fonts. I hope you'll check this thread Caroline!
Basically, you right click the font file icon (don't open the file, just right click it) and click "save as" and save it into your C:/windows/fonts file
It will autoload the next time you open your word processing program
I just placed my order and think this is a fabulous idea. I am thinking of doing one for my 5 year old daughter as well.....you know preserve her sweet little handwriting forever kind of like "frozen in time"! Do you think you would be able to do it for her or would that be more difficult?? OMGosh this is going to be so much fun, great idea MamaK!
I'll totally do a kid's handwriting! If you want to do a kid though, I'd probably get the $9.99 version, because I require for the 4.99 one that you do *ALL* the characters and I don't know that a kid could do all of them!
I just checked it out and fonts are backordered so was advised to check back in a few days...: This is great for Kimberly though...YOU GO GIRL!! I definitely will be back later this week. Good for you!
Kimberly, do you do script handwriting also where the letters are connected? I already had my handwriting done a few years ago but I need to get my script done.
This is just so cool! I saw a card awhile back with a font that didn't look like a typical WORD font...you make me so happpppy! Tonights the night to practise and send it in. Do I do capitals and lower case?
I just ordered mine! Gonna write out the alphabet now! I hate my handwriting, but this sure will come in handy when I am scrapbooking! Thanks so much, I forwarded it on to some friends that I think might like this too!
