Pretty please everyone leave a couple of the Iris Scrapbooking cases for me. I need those so bad right now.

Thank you so much for sharing the ad. I don't live close to Michael's any more. DH & I almost went up there tonight but we were like it's not worth the traffic headaches or the gas. Now, it is! That ad was amazing. I am so excited. Seriously! Thank you again for sharing. My DH has been wanting some of the organization supplies for his art studio. He's going to be really excited with the deals.

I didn't realize that. I wonder at the age of 57 if I qualified for Senior discount?

Gaaah! I want more Recollections storage cubes. unfortunately our washing machine just died and a house with 5 people in it doesn't allow us to be without a washing machine for long and it's already been a week. the rest of our monthly 'fun" money now has to go towards replacing the machine. The same part has been replaced 4 time in 2 years. We are done doing that.Hope everyone else has fun spending their $$$ on fun stuff

I stopped in at Michaels last Sunday morning and picked up three of the 12x12 Iris cases, a pad of $5 DSP, and a couple of other misc items. It was a pleasant surprise to see the sale.

I don't know how old you have to be to qualify as a Senior. HOWEVER I think you can join AARRP at age 55 - and they accept AARP cards as proof of eligibility (they have never questioned me though - I think I look old enough!!)

Anyway, nothing ventured nothing gained - try it!

Actually, the clerk needed to see my AARP card and then she scanned in the discount bar code.

I'm not sure if they have a regular Senior discount, or how old you have to be for that. However, Michael's has partnered with AARP and offers AARP members a 10% discount every day - and you only have to be 50 to join AARP. (I only joined because another organization I'm in offers 1 year free membership to AARP; now that they have this discount, I'll keep up the membership )

Didn't I tell you ladies to save those iris boxes for me? ROFL!

I didn't go to Michaels tonight. I ended up going to Dollar General instead. I got a tip for hot nail art items that DG just received. I had to take a peek. It was worth it. I know it's not nail art but DG just got in the most beautiful duct tapes. They were $2 a roll for a nice size roll and gorgeous designs. If you have a DG near your Michael's you might want to take a peek in there too especially if you have a Duct tape fan in your hour or you are one. The nail art items were worth the visit too. I spent way too much in there today.

I went to the sale of the century today. Did I tell you all to leave me some iris boxes? Thanks for leaving one, ROFL! That is what I got was one box. My store only had one left. I am happy! That is all I needed was one box.

I got one of the 7/$10 boxes. I got a cute rabbit stamp. Bought four sheets of the 7/$1.00 paper. I found a beautiful set of pearlescent (sp?) blank cards for $1.50. I got a sign from the Ashland collection. I didn't get a lot. I had fun. Target was having a buy two get one computer game sale. DH & I did way too much damage at that store. Glad Michael's didn't tempt me too much.

I hope everyone that goes in the next couple of days finds some great deals and new treasures.

I nearly fell over in the ribbon aisle: three rolls of the thin grosgrain ribbon (my favorite) for the price of one. AND the dishcloth yarn at $1.17 a skein. Yea, i'm going back today to get more.

I wasn't going to go, I don't need anything! Then I saw the post about Recollections 110lb white. Ok, we'll go after we go to Target.

I now have the slatboard pieces to mount to the side of my cubes and the baskets for them. I bought the Recollections white paper along with black and kraft. Of course stamps were also on sale.

The dog had to ride in the front on the way home from the groomer. No room in the back seat.

They only had one 12x12 Iris cases left so I did a special order for 8 more. I love the fact that this is like a rain check but you pay for it in advance. No problem and they do call me when it arrives.
