Default mailing cost for 5"x7" card

Not sure where to post this question, but I was wondering does it cost more to mail a 5" x 7" card (in U.S.)?

It will require more postage if it weighs more than one ounce, is more than 1/4 inch thick, or if it is non machinable (lumpy, rigid, clear envelope, etc).

If it's 1 oz or less and not more that 1/4" inch thick, it won't take any extra postage. It has to be bigger than 6 1/8" x 11 1/2" to require the extra postage for oversize.

Thank you so much for the info. I checked the USPS website but, gheez, the info can be overwhelming. I'd like to make a bunch of xmas cards but don't want to pay extra. Maybe I'll make something similiar and mail it as a sample.
