Default Magnolia - Tilda stamps

I just bought some Magnolia Tilda stamps from a fellow stamper. I think they are very cute......except it bothers me that she doesn't have a mouth.

Do any of you feel the same way? And if you do, do you ever just draw a mouth on this cute little girl?

I know most people find them cute but I've always found these stamps deeply disturbing because of the lack of mouth/nose. I don't own any as a result.

SophieLaFontaine has a post on her blog with some steps for drawing faces - she uses a basic circle face to demonstrate but it's a very good guide if you want to add features of your own to your Tildas. You can find it here.

Have fun with your new stamps!

I used to love these little stamps...but sadly mine are hiding in a box in the corner :( It never bothered me they have no mouths but lots of stampers in the UK drew a little mouth on them.

Joanne, thanks so much for the link to Sophie's great tutorial on drawing faces. I've bookmarked it.

I agree with you about the "no faces" thing. I'd never gotten any of these stamps for that reason. The ones I got were a wonderful bargain from a stamper purging her stash, so I thought I'd spring for them.

I think I will be able to give them some cute expressions with Sophie's help.

I think the Tilda stamps are adorable!
It doesn't bother me that she has no nose or mouth. The ones that bother me are the My Favorite Things stamps that have the kids with the eyes on the sides of their heads. Now those are creepy!

A little circle mouth, or a slight smile line should be easy enough to draw.

I agree, they are quite adorable. And I think I can draw a little mouth and nose with no problem.

I love Magnolias but my husband thinks they are creepy because they are "faceless" I've seen a bunch of peoples cards that had little mouths drawn in. I'm sure you could do it fairly easy
