Default M&M Treat Bags

Okay, I've got the 1 x 8 bags like everybody else has and I'm ready to fill up and decorate. This is my ridiculous and very frustrating problem. Just how do you get those things to lie flat so that they're stacked up like all of the pictures show? I mean, this should be fun, not what I'm having to go through. Any ideas or how you did this would be great and I'd really appreciate it. I can't be the only one on the face of the earth who can't do this.

I used part of a piece of copy paper, rolled into a funnel, to put the candy into the bag. I inserted the funnel as far as I could into the bag and started with about five M & M's. I would kind of hold the bag so that it was more round than flat at the bottom, by squeezing the sides as the candy went down into it. Most of the time, the other pieces, on top of the bottom one, would help it lay flat.

Thank you. I'm still not having any luck at all and I think it's with trying to make a funnel.

Okay, I made an acetate funnel and all seems to be working well now. Thank you again for all of your help and have a great weekend!

it is always the first one in the bag that hangs me up, (even using a funnel) so by the time i get to the second candy i can wiggle them in the bottom of the baggie so they lay flat then the rest go in easily. hth,
