Love those, Jo.
I'm kicking myself for not taking any pictures of the 50 I took to my show. I thought I'd set up my table and take some pictures then - but I got MOBBED and by the time I got my camera out they were all gone! I hardly even remember what they looked like. That'll teach me not to take pics as soon as I make 'em.

I find that my desk is always so messy there's nowhere to take a picture. Plus I usually craft at night, and I don't remember to go back and take a pic in the morning when there's light. Just another one of those things I've got to get in the habit of doing I guess.

Next round, I'll share.

It's always time to think about next christmas!! In January I made the hand cream and put it in jars....have not decorated them yet. I wanted to see if it will hold up for any length of time....it does.

However, I personally would not use this as a daytime cream because of the greasyness. But, it makes a great night cream with cotton gloves!!

this is good to know...

i have been thinking i might want to try to make some this year.

I wanted to send you a private message but, I knew you'd see it.

BTW...I used Dollar General products and for less than $10 (not including the containers) I made enough for 8 gifts.

Is this Denise's lotion?? I LOVE that stuff, but I only use it in the winter when my hands, feets, legs, etc. very dry. Yes, it does seem greasy, but after about 5 or 10 mins. your skin absorbs it and leaves it nice and soft!

Yup Mary, it is. This is my first time making it and I sure thought it would be a thicker consistency. I am used to using Euercin or Avon Moisture Therapy. Glad you like it!

I use all Dollar General supplies and made 24- 4 oz. jars, was very received by everyone who got one. Make sure you use wide mouth jars.

I usually address my cards the weekend after Thanksgiving when I put up the decorations, etc. I have about 60 cards made already for next year! I do maybe up to 6 of the same design if I really like it. I never make them ALL the same. THen all I need to do is print out the labels to put on the envelopes and sign the cards, put on the stamp and mail out!
Wow, I am so impressed! I'm learning though! I joined the SCS Christmas Card challenge this year, and I am making this year's Christmas cards now. I have 30 made so far! I started in February after reading through the SCS challenges. I am very happy, as I did mine in November last year and it carried into December. It was a little stressful. I don't know if I could do 60 in December for next year like you do, but I am impressed!!
I like the idea of putting your addresses on Word label! I will have to do that!
It would certainly help!
Great Ideas!

I plan on giving these to my sister in laws and beautician so far. I bought the white plastic containers from Specality Bottle before the end of last year as hubby was making up his hot sauce to send to folks for Christmas.

I am thinking it was right around $10.......

That specialty bottle site is also a great site for those cute tins with clear tops!
I have used those before for some fun tin gifts!
I had forgotten the link to this site so now I saved it in my files!
Thanks for providing the link!

Last year for my Christmas cards I used all the ones that I had made over the previous 4 years (samples, swaps and stamp camps) all the one ones I made last year - about 50 I saved for this year - so Cards are done - I am finishing up 15 monogram card sets for gifts and will make matching paperweights and RSVP pens to match. Have all the parts cut and prepped for 50 candy bags and 25 ornaments in a box to put together - hoping to get everything done before Thanksgiving so I and enjoy December.

I made the lotion (last year) and put them in the 4 oz ball jam jars - everyone loved them - am still making the lotion for those who want refills - no one has complained it is greasy and I made a batch of the baby scented for a friends baby with extremely dry skin and she loves it.

Would love to see pics of you tags when you have them!
I absolutely love the tags Tim Holtz does especially at Christmas!
http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblo...istmas_2008_1/

I might try a couple of these, but they are a little time consuming! Still love them though!
It would be nice to do some clean and simple Christmas tags this year. My MIL would love them-- so would my folks!
My sons would appreciate them, but not as much as one who crafts!
I do have to say my 22 yr old (very male-all boy) will try a card or two sometimes with my supplies. He made a card for my birthday I simple love!
The thought and ability really impressed me!

I went to a quilt shop website stitchinheaven.com. Found a cute gift pouch to sew, can hold a bag of cookie mix. Aprons are making a big comeback, may do a potholder, apron, cookie pouch gift combo.

So much to do, so little time.

Like the hand cream ideas.

I made the lotion (last year) and put them in the 4 oz ball jam jars - everyone loved them - am still making the lotion for those who want refills - no one has complained it is greasy and I made a batch of the baby scented for a friends baby with extremely dry skin and she loves it.
Yes, I did that last year Margaret...recycle cards. I love that you are all prepped for some of your gifts and ornaments....cool!

Glad to hear that the cream was loved by all too! I will get the jars decorated and quit worrying!!

I absolutely love the tags Tim Holtz does especially at Christmas!

Gillian, I have Tim Holtz's site linked on my blog so I watch him and his skill/art often. I have seen these tags before....simply amazing!! Took a class with him 2 years ago at For Keeps Sake (LSS on Lemay Ferry)....it was fun!! One of the instructors at FKS is teaching these tags now....or tags like them.

Wow Momis! These are so terrific! I love each one! Great ideas! Thanks for sharing because you have given me the inspiration I needed! Awesome! I love the bells attached, and the plaid ones with the twine ties, just awesome! What a great way to use buttons with the snowman! Terrific! Each one is well done! I am definitely going to do some of these this year!

Cool

We need to keep this bumped up, the clock is ticking. I found some cute 8 oz wide mouth jars at Wally World, with a plain silver lids, just perfect for hand lotion, will be easy to embellish.

I am going to repaint my scrap/sewing room, new flooring put down. It's going to be ugly for a few weeks. Dh does not do well with chaos, and I am slow at painting, but by June 15 I want it all to be done, and get ready for the holidays.
