Love the tealight snowman, definitely be on my to make list for the holidays. I have three scarves done, will take pictures, and put on my blog.
Hey, are they the spiral scarves? I'd love to see pics. I've made about 12 of them - I have a big family with lots of gals, lol. I'm going to find the fuzzy socks you suggested to go with them.

Yes, the spiral scarves. And I found some yarn at Michael's, called Starbella, it's kind of a mesh type, and the lacy gathered scarves can be nade, Look under Starbella on youtube, and directions can be found. They work up quick, under an hour.

I have a picture posted on my blog of a few of the scarves I have gotten done. Also posted a few words of wisdom I have discovered while making these, also watch out for those HL and Michael's coupons. I got more Starbella with a 25% off total purchase. Every penny counts in this economy.

Patrice, the scarves are just lovely! Whoever gets them will be thrilled, I'm sure.

Keep an eye out for any marked down Halloween candy, great for stocking stuffers. I found a couple of bags at WalMart, the tootsie roll mix, and got six pounds of candy half price, which is a good deal. I hid it away from dh, and put a note in my dayplanner where I put it, I can get forgetful around the holidays.

hello ladies,
any ideas for male teacher Christmas gifts?
GREAT QUESTION!!!
I sell post it note holders on a keychain and state "They can hook it right on their tool box" or even not on a keychain, but include a little pencil. I also make some masculine Post it note frames, which I sell out of every year!
I was just invited last night to pick up a third day at the sale I am doing this weekend. Normally only repeat vendors are invited to do Thursday night, but they called me specifically to be there. No extra charge either, which is great.

Just slightly stressed now!
Popped on by your log and wow..beautiful...good luck!!

They are on sale 2/$5.00 at Kmart and 4/$10.00 at CVS. Just check online to see if the sale is in your area.
Judi
THanks. I didn't find them that cheap in my area but did get them for $2.99, which was good enough for me at this time of year. RiteAid has lots of bagged candy for $2.99.... including Ghirardelli and Dove brands.
Yummm..
I grabbed some holiday M&M''s for $2.66 a bag, usually won't find a better price on them throughout the season.
And everyone's blog is fantastic, great work ladies.
And for male ideas, I work with several male nurses, and they just usually are thrilled with holiday goodies. I found the gable type cookie boxes at the Dollar store, or DollarTree, throw in some tissue paper, add homebaked cookies, a tag, and they are thrilled. Teachers get so many coffee mugs, my daughter has donated so many that she has gotten as gifts. Some nice holiday cards the teacher could send, with a Starbucks gift card.
Thanksgiving is two weeks from today. EEEEKKK!!!

hello ladies,

Homemade jam is always a hit with my kids' teachers. I found some yummy recipes on one of the other Christmas threads, for blueberry-lime and chocolate covered strawberry jams, and watermelon jelly.
Kay, great idea. Even if you are not into jam or jelly making, the malls and stores will have special displays of holiday goodies. Buy the jam, made a loaf of bread.

Hey everyone, I haven't checked in here since last Christmas!
Last year I made about 20 altered comp books and matching bookmarks and pens, 20 sets of notecards, and 20 of those cute washer necklaces for all the gals in my family.
I still have those same folks this year, lol. What is everyone making for gal gifts?
I crochet as well as papercraft, so I've started on some cute spiral scarves. They are really cute and different, use only double crochet, and work up very fast. Thank goodness, because I'm making - you guessed it, about 20!
Here is a link if anyone would like to check out the scarves. I'm attaching fat tassles on the end of mine, too:
Another great idea, I saw a recipe for banana bread, and a small jar of cream cheese frosting to go with it. Can't remember where I saw this, maybe pinterest. But a neat gift idea, my hair stylist has a birthday this week, and he will love this.

cute - just one concern - won't the kisses fall out of it? cause I wouldn't want to be embarassed by gifting it and half of them fall out in the process...
but I got some christmas kisses yesterday
