I was given a heap of quilling strips in unopened packets, I don't quill, like the look but don't have the dexterity. I will be choosing single colours or co-ordinating colours and weaving backgrounds or backing/matting for christmas cards this year for something different.
..... any other ideas apart from quilling that I could do with these for christmas or ...?
It's very nice and looks a lot easier than weaving.
I could weave, spray glue to piece of card then pop through the CB with a nestie all interesting shapes then ....
Wonder if that would be then to thick then to emboss ...... I'm thinking thinking thinking ...... LOL
I think/do Christmas year round and love it - have just started stamping and will be making some gifts with this new skills. Today I picked up two pencil holders at the craft store to play around with - they are the kind that flatten down to will fit for packaging well. Shall post some pictures when I get some done.
As for now, I am going to look over earlier posts for ideas - Mahalo!!
For a larger amount of cards, I take small gifts sacks, usually in white, then decorate the sack to coordinate with the cards. I used the pillowbox die to make wedding favors, I cut out the box, embossed it, filled with a few Hersey's kisses, wrapped with ribbon, and attached a message from the wedding couple. I had to do fifty, and I got them done in a evening, worst thing was tasting a few extra kisses along the way.
Christmas is coming ladies, and I wrote in my day planner when school supplies go on sale, to get boxes of crayons to go with the Christmas colorbooks I got on closeout after the holidays, for 16 cents a piece. Will make good stocking stuffers, or party favors for the grandsons parties.
This is a great thread with so many wonderful ideas. I started at the last page and worked my way forward. I got to page 41 and my eyes are going buggy. Must be time for bed, but wanted to make sure I could find the thread again!
I am thinking of selling some altered bottlecaps. One idea is to sell zipper pulls, necklaces-not the choker kind, bookmarks, pins. Has anyone had any luck selling them? If you are curious as to how else people are using them, search the gallery or check out my swap with the links to some items.
