Default Lame Crystal Effects Question

OK, so I'm hopeless - I admit it. How do you open the Crystal Effects? Are you supposed to snip off the end of the tube? I cannot figure this out! Help! Thanks!

Yes it's that simple, just cut off the tip and then I normally stick a florist pin in the top after using so it does not clog up.

There is also a little liner inside the top, so you have to unscrew the long pointy top off and take out the little foil liner

I know this because I snipped the tip and I squeezed the heck out of that thing for about 2 min (cursing all the while) wondering why nothing was coming out and then I saw it. It worked much better after that

This is probably even lamer than your question, but I am assuming you know to remove the outer cap first. I didn't know that with my first bottle and snipped the tip off the cap. Duh!

I agree with the pin thing. I had a pin from my sewing basket in the CE bottle and the whole thing turned a not-so-lovely rust color. I don't know what I am doing differently, but my bottles no longer clog. Perhaps it is because I keep them laying down? I don't know, but I am always surprised that I don't have to reach for a pin to clear the top. Perhaps someone else can shed light on this.

I heard that they should be stored upside down, so I keep mine in a pencil cup. Seems to be working fine.

Thank you so much! I assumed that I might need to snip off the tip, but I was afraid that, if I was wrong, I could somehow ruin the whole thing. Thanks!

I don't think your question is "lame" because I asked the exact same question about 6 weeks ago! At that time, Beverly Moeller (a DD member) answered and told me to be sure to cut the tip at an angle, and so I did.
