Default Label Maker:

I am in the process of decluttering my life, my home, my stamp area. I would like to purchase a label maker to help me organize everything. Does anyone have any ideas about label makers:

What brand, what you like or dislike about it, how much (roughly) it costs, and where you got it.

THANK YOU so much!

I purchased a Dymo letra tag at Target on sale for less than $20, I buy the white refill tape which is quite often on sale. It has worked great for me. I use it at work to label shelves of products, use to put name of stamps set on all sides of box, use for my name tag on tools that I take to workshops.

Hope this helps

lol I saw the topic and thought of my Dymo Letra, just to see that is your other reply! I love mine, too, and have had it for about 3 years.

Default label maker

I also just purchased the Dymo letra at Target on sale for $14.99. I have seen it at Michael's for [i]$29.99. I saw it Walmart too, but don't remember exactly how much. I think Target's regular price was $18.99. I haven't really seen any other kind, but I'm sure there might be different brands at any office supply stores.

I have an older Brother label maker which I received as a gift years ago. Still works great, labels available in different colors at Staples. A bit more expensive than the others mentioned.

I'm in the Dymo Letra group. It's inexpensive & easy to use.

I have a Brother P-Touch that I really love. The keyboard makes it really quick and easy to use. I got it on sale at an office store for approx. $25-30.

The labels are neat and very easy to read. The only downside is that the replacement tapes are expensive--about $17. I haven't had good success finding them on sale--anyone else?

HTH,

Debbie

I have the Brother P-Touch. I bet you could get it at Viking, too. I love this thing. The label refills are cartridges that are easily removed if you want a different color...no re-threading. It includes 5 different print styles. You can adjust printing. I can't remember what I paid for it as I've had it for at least 5 years or more. It is a very professional, quality product that looks like a mini keyboard. We have a smaller model at work...love this thing! Did I say that already?

Default Brother home & hobby label maker

You will love the Brother label maker. I had one for years and got one for my mother for Christmas. It wasn't until I was helping her learn how to use it that I discovered that my label maker was capable of making vertical labels in addition to the normal horizontal kind....so my recommendation to you is to read the instruction booklet and keep it handy so you will be aware of all the wonderful things it's capable of doing!
Enjoy your new toy when it comes!

I use the Brother P-Touch because it's like a keyboard. I cannot use the other ones since I type so fast I get completely confused by the Dymo being in abc order. I use the one from work and pay for the refills.
