Just curious...I work in the library and have an abundance of old (like80'90's, nothing too old)stamped library date due cards and I come across lots of old books that are donated and thrown away, (i know, haha) but what am I to do with all....Do you think there'd be any interest in people purchasing???? Just thinking out loud...thanks, sandi
Definitely! Today's trash is tomorrow's vintage treasures. But if the date due cards have actual borrower's names, there could be privacy issues...still, flea market dealers might want the books.
Just some ideas...

From one librarian to another. I don't know about the cards, but our library district has now set up an account with Amazon, to sell the older books. Oh we have a lot of books customers can buy off the shelf, but the new ones and old ones that are donated can be sold on Amazon for a much better price then we get selling them off the shelf. Good luck. Deanna in so Utah
Here in Oklahoma City they formed a non-profit group called Friends of the Library which organizes and holds an annual sale of unwanted library books at our Fairgrounds. It is a big deal and has become very well attended. All the funds are donated back to the library system.
Here are a couple of links if you'd like to take a look. Maybe you could encourage your library to do something similar to this.
