Default I thought I had my cards done...

After many nights of working on my Christmas cards, I thought I was almost done. Just had to address them and send them on their merry way. Well, DH just came in and said he needs 15 more cards! I did real simple ones for his co-workers. But after doing all these cards, around 80 total, the thought of 15 more cards even simple ones makes me want to scream. Wonder if I could teach him how to stamp and emboss in a night??

I feel your pain! I too thought I was done until hubby announced he wanted 35 more cards (and gifts too!) So, I have been making more cards (a few layers- lots of cutting!, embossing, tied ribbon, punched circles, stickles and of course stamping and decorating the envelopes too!) and bags of 6 decorated nuggets in a cello bag with a 2 layer stamped topper for each employee on his branch.

So how much are you charging your husband for these last-minute cards? I should think the price would go up for rush orders.

I'm so with you...I thought I had mine counted out properly and DONE...NOT! I think I have about 20 more to make in addition to the 75 I have already done. And this year, my card isn't thrilling me as much as I would like so it is very painful to continue making more! Hang in there!

You are not alone!!

I started selling my cards earlier in the year and it was a few card orders here and there. Nothing to demanding... Well, it's Christmas time, and everyone I ever sold a card to now wanted to place an order! I have had orders for almost 100 cards! That's not including the cards for me to send out AND for the Holiday craft fair I am doing this Friday. My last card order was for 10 snowflake cards and I seriously CRIED! I never thought I would hate my Cuttlebug, but now I want to chuck it and Frosty, snowflake and santa stamps out the window.

Is it Valentine's yet?????

Yep- I made mom 10 more than she asked for and she still ran out! She did have some store bought cards tho. We were laughing about last year. She kept coming and saying "five more". I finally said the next card would say something not very nice... lol....
