I've had to update to a new computer, and I thought now is the time to finally learn and use my Photoshop Elements 8 that I purchased almost a year ago.
Here is my problem:
I want to add an existing watermark to my image.
I open the pic of the card and edit it. Then, I open the watermark. If I simply drag it on to the pic of the card, it goes straight to the middle of the image. I've tried doing the layering tool, but I'm missing something.
I want the watermark to sit in the lower left hand corner.
Anyone have any quick help?
Thanks!
Nancy

Use your picker tool and then left click and hold to move it to where you want it on the page. You could also lower the opacity of the watermark so that you can still see a little bit of what's behind it. HTH...

You are awesome for answering, but what is a picker tool? I'm very new to this program!!

I don't have PSE, but I have PSCS5 so, what I call the picker tool looks like an arrow - actually, I think when you hover over it, it show as the "move" tool. Here's what it looks like in PCSC5:
I use PSE8 and it looks pretty much like cat_woman's screenshot but just in case it helps to see the more familiar format I've grabbed a screenshot too.
PSE also calls it the "move tool" - it's just the thing that lets you select an object. Just click the left mouse button to select the watermark and then keep it held down while you drag to wherever you want it to be.
Oh, if you're new to the program, one thing that might not be obvious is that lots of the tools have options on them. Anything that has a little black triangle at lower right of the tool icon can do more than one thing (so that's basically everything except the top two rows of tools on my screenshot).
Right click on any of those tools and you'll see what the other options are. For example, right click on the marquee tool (the dotted rectangle, third row on the screen shot) and you get the option to change it to an eliptical marquee so you can select circles or ovals instead of squares or rectangles. Just right click again to get the menu to change it back to rectangular.
