Default I got the answer to using the SU digital CD's without MDS

While looking for an answer on using the SU digital CD's without MDS I stumbled upon a site by a demo named Patty Bennett. She has over 50 videos on how to use MDS so I could see she was an expert and I contacted her . She got right back to me with an answer

Here it is :

Hi Barbara,
Thanks for your kind words.. I LOVE MDS and will try to answer your questions.

Yes, you can use the MDS images in any program that uses a .jpg or .png image.. I use them in PSE and Word all the time.

When you load the disc in your drive, it should ask if you want to install or open the file.. just "open" and save it to any location.. I'm sure you have folders for your digital images (backgrounds, stamps, etc.) and just save the files there. You don't have to auto install it anywhere. I get this option when I place one of the MDS discs in my PC.. I'm sure there would be something similar in a mac.

Hope that helps?

Patty

Here is her Web site with the videos and lots of other information.
Patty's Stamping Spot

I am planning on buying more of the digi paper downloads in the future and I will buy them from her. That way If I run into trouble or want to expand my digi use I can contact her for advise
Hope this helps
Barbara
P.S. if you are interested in trying digital Hit the Clearance Rack in "Content CD's" they have some goodies there If anyone wants to try the MDS they also have a 30 day free trial. You can see it on Patty Bennett's site

I'm so glad you got the answer you were looking for! And, thank you for supporting the demo that answered your question. That means a lot to demos!

UPDATE
My SU CD suite's were just delivered. I had to try them immediately.

This is how to save then on a Mac to use in another program such as PSE
I could not just SAVE them after they were open . You may be able to just save on a Windows computer
On my Mac this what I did and it worked like a charm.

Insert CD into drive
Go to File--> Open
You get two choices
1. Double Click me to install ( that would be for MDS)
2. Extract for Other Applications.zip

I did the second choice.

There are several sets on each CD and each is in a folder after it unzips .
I dragged each folder to my desktop and then dropped them into my SU downloads file

As I said it worked like a charm. These CD suites EACH have 2-3 digi paper sets plus stamps and are a real bargain.
Hope this helps
Barbara
